Jennings Slams CNN on Biden Failures & Nasty Partisan Dems

On Tuesday’s CNN Tonight, CNN political analyst and Republican PR pro Scott Jennings took his fellow panelists to school on the never ending list of failures of the Biden administration. Once again, Jennings dominated the exchange and made everyone on the set look foolish.

While awaiting election results from the New York 12th congressional district Democrat primary which pitted Congressman Jerry Nadler against Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, former Democrat Congressman John Delaney proclaimed: “President Biden is winning right now” when it comes to his achievements in office.

“He went bipartisan, and he moderated. And I think Democrats are suddenly saying, maybe that's how we win. Maybe this is how we govern,” Delaney claimed.

Delaney continued: “The last several election cycles on the Democratic primary have been who could go the most extreme on policy positions. I think the President started out that way. He pivoted, and he's been a huge success.”

In response to Delaney’s delusional rant, Jennings set the record straight: “you said Joe Biden is winning by any measure. I’ll give you a measure, he's got a 40 percent approval rating. I mean 80 percent of the country thinks we're off on the wrong track. These are not winning measurements.”

Jennings then turned his attention to the New York primaries. “Jerry Nadler's closing argument was like he was a character in a Monty Python movie. I'm not dead yet,” Jennings said. “These are two of the nastiest liberal partisans in the United States Congress.”

“These people are the most liberal and the most partisan, and you see their true colors come out,” Jennings added.

“I hear Democrats all the time talking about fresh faces, generational change, new ideas. Let's welcome diverse. We had all that in Patel, and he's bringing up the rear,” Jennings observed in reference to the third Democrat running against Nadler and Maloney who is much younger and ran on bringing new blood to Congress.

“I just wonder if this is a Democratic talking point that the voters don't actually agree with because you've got two old, white, liberal, septuagenarian nasty partisans duking it out and the fresh-faced guy is bringing up the rear here,” Jennings noted.

JOHN DELANEY: President Biden is winning right now.

LAURA COATES: Right.

DELANEY: I mean he's had a stunning run of legislative successes. Historic successes.

COATES: I heard you smirk.

DELANEY: But he has. I mean by any measure. How did he do it? He went bipartisan, and he moderated. And I think Democrats are suddenly saying, maybe that's how we win. Maybe this is how we govern. So I think you're going to see a change. The last several election cycles on the Democratic primary have been who could go the most extreme on policy positions. I think the President started out that way. He pivoted, and he's been a huge success.

COATES: You’re not convinced. You went from like a smirk to almost like a faw just now, and yes that is a crossword word you can use later on, thank you so much.

SCOTT JENNINGS: I mean you said Joe Biden is winning by any measure. I’ll give you a measure, he's got a 40 percent approval rating. I mean 80 percent of the country thinks we're off on the wrong track. These are not winning measurements. On this New York race, Jerry Nadler's closing argument was like he was a character in a Monty Python movie. I'm not dead yet! These are two of the nastiest liberal partisans in the United States Congress. You know. You served with them.

These people are the most liberal and the most partisan, and you see their true colors come out. One of them's going home. It looks like it might be Maloney. From a Republican perspective, it's good for the country. What you said about Patel though I find interesting because I hear Democrats all the time talking about fresh faces, generational change, new ideas.

Let's welcome diverse. We had all that in Patel, and he's bringing up the rear. I just wonder if this is a Democratic talking point that the voters don't actually agree with because you've got two old, white, liberal, septuagenarian nasty partisans duking it out and the fresh-faced guy is bringing up the rear here.
