Video: Chris Matthews Does the World's Worst Harry Belafonte Impression

Here's something you probably didn't know: MSNBC's does a horrendously awful Harry Belafonte impression.

No, I mean, seriously, it's cringe-inducingly bad (see video below):

Matthews let loose during his "Tell Me Something I Don't Know" segment after guest April Ryan informed him how the singer has endorsed President Obama's normalization of relations with Cuba.

"Well, he's a proud man of the Left," Matthews noted, breaking into song by warbling, with something of an Irish-sounding lilt, "[unintelligible – sounded like come the night] and I wanna go home."

Of course, the lyrics in the famous refrain from "Day O" (The Banana Boat Song) – are "Daylight come and me wan' go home."
