As is often the case, the Elitist Media hold stories about controversial Democrats close to the chest, either reporting at the last possible moment or not at all. Such is the case with the Wisconsin Democrat gubernatorial primary.
NBC is who broke the ice on that primary, and the travails of its frontrunner Francesca Hong. Watch that report in its entirety, as aired on NBC Nightly News on Tuesday, August 11th, 2026:

TOM LLAMAS: Now to Election Night in America. High-stakes primaries in six states, and all eyes on whether Democratic Socialist candidates can keep their winning streak going. Here’s Ryan Nobles.
RYAN NOBLES: Tonight, the deep divide between socialists and the party’s establishment moving to Wisconsin. Progressives hoping to notch another major win, led by Democratic Socialist candidate for governor Francesca Hong, who’s leading in the polls.
FRANCESCA HONG: We’re going to respond to make sure that we talk about the solutions and how to deliver for working-class people.
NOBLES: Moderates turning to David Crowley, backed by the Democratic governor.
DAVID CROWLEY: We’re going to need someone who can build the necessary coalitions.
NOBLES: Establishment Democrats argue Hong is too controversial to win in November. Hong has repeatedly called for abolishing police, though under pressure she has recently backtracked. She’s also supported cancelling Thanksgiving, describing it as a “colonizer holiday,” but taking that back last week.
HONG: I don't want to cancel it, I actually love it.
NOBLES: NBC's Shaquille Brewster with Democratic voters.
VOTER: Yeah, I mean- I mean, I voted for Francesca Hong. I think she has a really great platform.
NOBLES: Why did you vote for David Crowley?
VOTER: Because I think he can win.
NOBLES: On the other side of the aisle, South Carolina Republicans will pick their nominee to replace the late Senator Lindsey Graham. Graham’s sister, who currently holds his seat and is backed by President Trump, hoping to wade through a crowded candidate field. With some voters wondering if she was the experience necessary. Are you worried that she's just being handed the seat?
VOTER: Yeah, I do.
NOBLES: But Graham, confident she is ready.
What do you say to folks that are concerned about your lack of experience?
DARLINE GRAHAM: I think I have some really good experience. I’ve worked for 33 years for the state of South Carolina. I ran a state agency.
NOBLES: South Carolina is a very red state, so whoever wins this primary is likely to hold this seat for the next six years. Tom.

This was a sort of primary roundup featuring two races: Democrat Wisconsin governor and Republican South Carolina Senate, with a clear spotlight on Wisconsin. For the most part, NBC reported it straight up.
The report was not unique in that NBC also framed the race more broadly as “moderates vs. progressives.” But correspondent Ryan Nobles opened his report by referring to WI gubernatorial candidate Francesca Hong” as a “Democratic Socialist.”
Furthermore, Nobles laid out some of the wild takes that Hong has put forth, such as her past proposed abolition of the police and cancellation of Thanksgiving. The report included perspectives from both supporters and detractors alike.
This brief mention of the race on Primary Night on NBC was the sole Wisconsin mention on the Elitist Media Evening News. ABC led the newscast with weather, as is their custom, and CBS put a recall of imported beef from Argentina on A-block. As we often say: what DOESN’T get covered on the evening news is often more important than what is. In this case: the ongoing socialist hollowing out of the Democrat Party.
