Ann Curry Kisses for Global Warming Cause

If you've got an extra-billion dollars laying around and you happen to be a fan of "Today" co-host Ann Curry, just donate that extra cash at a Bill Clinton-fronted foundation conference and you may just get a kiss from her. On the Thursday, "Today" show Curry got so excited by a paper company exec's donation of $1 billion at a Clinton Global Initiative meeting that she actually planted a kiss on him.

After the chairman of Pratt Industries, Anthony Pratt, told NBC's Al Roker he was donating the money to help recycling efforts, the notoriously green Curry went into a tither as she exclaimed:

Curry: "$1 billion?! $1 billion?! You get a kiss!"

Pratt: "Yeah, thank you."

Curry: "Right? Everybody, right? Give this man a kiss! Give this man, I'm talking, talking about it. Thank you, thank you!"

The following exchange occurred during the 9:30am half-hour of the September 27 "Today" show:

Natalie Morales: "You have a special guest?"

Al Roker: "Yes we do. Let's bring in Mr. Anthony Pratt, he is the chairman and CEO of Pratt Industries, the world's largest privately owned paper and packaging company. Good morning, Anthony, nice to see you. And you did, you did something at the Clinton Global Initiative meeting yesterday. You had a huge announcement. A bill-, pledging $1 billion to, to really help this planet. Tell us what you're going to be doing?"

Anthony Pratt: "Well we hope to use the $1 billion to double our recycling operations from 3000 people to 6000 American jobs in order to combat climate change, because we think that recycling is a very important but underestimated weapon against climate change."

Roker: "Why do you think it's so underestimated?"

Pratt: "Well because, did you know Al, that there's twice as much carbon emissions from landfills as there is from global aviation worldwide. And it just goes to show you that if we can stop this stuff going into landfill but recycling instead, every time we recycle will save a ton of carbon going into the atmosphere."

Roker: "Alright Anthony Pratt, thank you so very much."

Curry: "You donated $3 billion?!"

Pratt: "$1 billion."

Curry, moving to embrace Pratt: "$1 billion?! $1 billion?! You get a kiss!"

Pratt: "Yeah, thank you."

Curry: "Right? Everybody, right? Give this man a kiss! Give this man, I'm talking, talking about it. Thank you, thank you!"
