In Sunday’s front-page print edition (and posted online September 1), the New York Post shared wildly disturbing findings from a YouGov poll that “[m]ore than one in eight Democrats think the American people focus too much on remembering Sept. 11[.]”
“When asked if the American people currently focus too much or too little on the memory of the events of that tragic day, 13% of registered Democrats said too much, the survey found,” reporter Anthony Davis continued.
Sadly, he added, “[j]ust one in five (19%) Democrats said Americans focus too little on 9/11.”
The same poll found 72 percent of Democrats and 56 percent of independents “believe U.S. Muslims have faced worse treatment than other religious groups since 9/11.”
One could only imagine how Norm MacDonald would react to this. Thankfully, his viral December 2016 tweet holds up.
As the country marks the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, it’s no accident a non-zero number of leftists would have tried to equivocate, explain away, or worse if a similar attack occurred today.
