Near the back of The Washington Post tabloid Express on Monday, the publication used a commenter from a Huffington Post article to slam conservative radio host Erick Erickson’s decision to fire bullets into a copy of the front-page New York Times gun control editorial from Saturday and questioned Erickson’s competence to own a gun.

Along with the picture of Erickson’s bullet-stricken copy of the liberal newspaper, Express ran this quote from Huffington Post commenter Jeffrey Aguilera: “Sounds like he is not mature enough to own a gun.”

Express provided the following as a caption that characterized the editorial’s calls for gun control and confiscation as “gun safety”

Jeffrey Aguilera, a commenter at huffintonpost.com, doesn’t support the behavior of Erick Erickson, a conservative talk-radio host who opened fire on a copy of The New York Times to show how strongly he disagreed with its message. On Saturday, the newspaper ran a front page editorial on gun safety. It was the first editorial to appear on the paper’s front page since 1920. Erickson posted a photo online of the paper with bullet holes in it, and encouraged his followers to do the same.
