MSNBC's Hayes Uses Palestinian Video Israel Disputed as 'Fabricated'

On Wednesday's All In show, MSNBC host Chris Hayes used video allegedly showing Palestinians being fired on by Israeli troops while praying to bolster his commentary in which he complained that President Donald Trump did not confront Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the military actions.

Unlike FNC or PBS, Hayes did not mention that the video has been disputed by the IDF as staged footage -- similar to the hoax videos for which Palestinian film makers are known for producing, sometimes referred to as "Pallywood."

As the MSNBC host noted a phone call between the two world leaders, he lamented that President Trump "did not talk about what was probably the most important thing for them to talk about -- and that's the fact that, just a few days ago, Israeli troops shot more than 750 Palestinians, killing at least 15."

As is typical of the dominant liberal media, Hayes referred to the "Israeli blockade of Gaza" as being what the protesters were protesting against -- without informing viewers that Egypt also takes part in the blockade because the Arab country also border Gaza.

After acknowledging that the terrorist group Hamas has been using the protests for its own violent purposes, the MSNBC host then portrayed the Palestinian Arab protesters as being not well-armed enough to justify being fired upon by the military:

At this particular protest, there were some protesters who threw rocks and Molotov cocktails, and rolled burning tires at the border fence. All of which is true, but in no way justifies what Israeli soldiers appear to have done -- which is perch on a hill and pick off protesters with sniper fire, much of it recorded for all to see. Like, for instance, this video which shows live shots being fired at a teenager as he runs through an empty area to retrieve a tire. Or the shooting of this young man as he prayed near the border fence.

Hayes did not mention that many of those who were killed were identified as terrorists, or that some terrorists were using civilian protesters as human shields as they fired at Israeli troops.

He referred to the Israeli military's actions as "unconscionable" as he continued:

As far as we can tell from the video add-ins, IDF troops in sniper positions rained down bullets on unarmed people again and again and again. And not only did the President of the United States react by saying nothing, not only did the vast majority of members of Congress -- Democrat and Republican -- been entirely silent about this frankly unconscionable use of force -- the U.S. blocked a U.N. Security Council statement calling for an investigation of what happened.

After complaining that the Trump administration has sent a message that its allies Israel and Saudi Arabia can do what they wish without protest from the U.S., Hayes concluded: "That video of teenagers being shot in an open field -- that's what it looks like when they do."

But, on Monday's Special Report with Bret Baier, correspondent Conor Powell informed viewers that the IDF had described the video as "completely fabricated." Here's Powell:

Amateur video released today appears to show several incidents of Palestinians being shot while posing no apparent to soldiers. However, Israeli officials rejecting claims soldiers targeted unarmed protesters, saying the videos are, quote, "completely fabricated."

And on the same day's PBS NewsHour, host Judy Woodruff recounted: "Amateur video purported to show one man fatally shot while running away -- another was wounded while kneeling in prayer. The Israelis disputed the videos."
