Debate Moderator Maddow: 'Almost All' 2020 Dems 'Would Make A Good President'

June 12th, 2019 2:48 PM

Once the DNC announced it would not permit Fox News to moderate any debates for the 2020 Democratic primary, it was obvious liberal media bias would be on full display during the campaign. As of recently, it was decided not only will MSNBC be hosting the first debate, but Rachel Maddow will be one of the moderators. On Tuesday, Maddow appeared on Late Night with Seth Myers, aired early Wednesday morning, to weigh in with her thoughts on the upcoming debate.

Meyers began by jovially congratulating Maddow on snagging a moderator role. Maddow then set the stage for what to expect in the upcoming debates in terms of “fair and balanced” reporting: “And all of these candidates -- I mean, all of the Democrats are interesting. I mean, I think almost all of them would make really good presidents, they've all had interesting careers. They're all -- I've met almost all of them. They're all interesting people, they're all competent.

There you have it, before any candidate has stepped to the podium, Maddow has already made up her mind about their qualifications. She then explained the strategy candidates need to adopt if they hope to win the general election against President Trump: “And the best way I know to find out is to see them battle it out within an inch of their lives - with all the other people who might conceivably be president, too."

The plan orchestrated by the DNC of having the most tilted, biased debate in favor of their party has proven successful.

RACHEL MADDOW: And all of these candidates -- I mean, all of the Democrats are interesting. I mean, I think almost all of them would make really good presidents they've all had interesting careers. They're all -- I've met almost all of them. They're all interesting people they're all competent, but I don't know which of them would make the best president. And the best way I know to find out is to see them battle it out within an inch of their lives -

SETH MEYERS- Yeah

MADDOW- With all the other people who might conceivably be president, too so, I mean, what is the lesson of Hillary Clinton versus Donald Trump in terms of how to beat him in a general election? I don't think anybody has any idea I think it's got to be something new.
