Univision Chairman Haim Saban Is All In for Hillary

Some $25 million in donations to the Clinton Foundation, hosting fundraisers and contributing over $5 million of his own money so far to Hillary Clinton’s super PAC, Priorities USA Action, along with pro-Hillary tilted Univision coverage of the presidential campaign, are apparently not enough for Hillary super-fan and Univision Chairman, Haim Saban.

Haim Saban, who openly confesses that seeing Hillary occupy the Oval Office is “a big dream of mine” prominently figured at George Clooney’s Hollywood fundraiser for the former Secretary of State, forking over $353,400 to sit at the head table. The minimum ticket at this Hollywood snob fest, incidentally, was going for $33,400 per plate.

If you think Mr. Saban’s partisanship has mellowed since last year’s Politico exposé about his network’s deep ties to Hillary, you would be wrong. He’s evidently indifferent to any perception of bias that his leading role in the Clinton campaign causes.

Saban’s objective is to get Hillary elected, and Univision is aligned with his wishes. In their eyes, all things GOP are almost uniformly painted as malevolent and sinister, while practically all things Democrat have virtue and merit. Not to mention that Univision is no stranger to censoring what they don’t want us to hear.

In a classic do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do, George Clooney talked to NBC’s Meet The Press about the money raised during the fundraiser, which he described as an “obscene amount.” “It's going to the congressmen and senators to try to take back Congress," he said, before adding, “the Sanders campaign, when they talk about it, is absolutely right. It’s ridiculous that we should have this kind of money in politics. I agree, completely,” Clooney said, in response to the criticism the fundraiser has received.

At worst, the hypocrisy is appalling. At best, the lack of self-awareness is equally astonishing. When liberals need to advance their agenda, their candidates or their issues, decadent amounts of dollars are necessary to “connect” with the American people. But it’s only when conservatives raise money that it is always portrayed as obscene and corruptive.
