Hollywood and the liberal media generally express support for abortion, but it’s a rarity when a writer specifically calls for the abortion of a celebrity’s baby. But that just happened – on camera.
On Friday, sources told outlets like TMZ and People magazine that 20-year-old reality star Kylie Jenner is expecting a baby girl with rapper Travis Scott. In response, popular celebrity blogger Perez Hilton published a bizarre video where he said Jenner “should have had an abortion.”
Beginning with a slow clap, he announced Kylie was surpassing half-sister Kim Kardashian in popularity with the pregnancy news.
“She is the new Kim Kardashian,” a Perez insisted. “I don’t care about any of them other bitches right now. Kylie Jenner has just one-upped everybody.”
Even so, he criticized Kylie’s mother for not pressuring her daughter to have an abortion.
“I love life, I love babies,” he continued, but “if I were Kris Jenner, I would tell that girl to get an abortion!” he yelled into the camera.
Getting “really real” Perez also complained that Kylie and boyfriend Travis “are not going to last.”
“They’re having a baby and they barely know each other,” he said, before adding sarcastically, “But you know what? It’s great for business!”
But that wasn’t the end of his abortion push.
“This is when being pro-choice really comes in handy,” he said, before later reasoning, “Based on everything I know, I personally don’t think at 19, and given who she is and where she is in her life, she’s going to be a great mom.” (In the video description, he corrected himself: Kylie is 20.)
At the same time, he admitted her baby was an “unborn child.” (Not a mere “blob of tissue.)
“My heart just goes out to that poor unborn child, but, from a business point of view, this is great for business,” he added.
Business, he meant, for himself. “Oh, look at all the live views I got right now,” he said, “his video’s going to do really well.”
Again, he put himself in the shoes of Kylie’s mother.
“I’m trying to put myself in Kris Jenner’s headspace and I think she’s fucking checked out. She’s like, ‘You know what? All my kids are grown-ups and I’m tired of their drama. I will support them but I’m going to let them do what they do,’” he put words into her mouth. “She probably didn’t even say anything to Kylie about having an abortion. She should have had an abortion, right?”
Talking about the Kardashian and Jenner babies, Perez added, “It’s going to be so hard for them growing up with abnormal parents and in an abnormal situation with parents who don’t even want them to live normal lives.”
But hey, at least they have lives to live. Which is more than what Perez wanted for them.
His comments echoed actress Lena Dunham, when she joked about aborting the royal baby in 2014.
