Kanye’s Pro-Trump Twitterstorm Proves Lib Insanity

Regardless of how you feel about Kanye West’s music or often reckless bravado, you have to admit, he really does a good job of riling people up. This time, the rap superstar has decided to go for the jugular, and divorce himself from the narrative of the mainstream left, all by mentioning a mere camaraderie with President Donald Trump.

The left’s ensuing meltdown has been epic to say the least. The Twitterverse in particular is bending over backwards to discredit Kanye as mentally ill, or some sort of Uncle Tom. Either way it's a lot of fun for conservatives to see, and further proof to the world that the left cannot stand it when a talented, influential person thinks for themself.

And Kanye might not be doing any real thinking, he just might be trying to garner some attention for himself as a controversial figure. Then again, maybe something about Candace Owen’s speech (where this all started) resonated with the Grammy award-winner. But the damage is done, and the liberal media has been responding the way the possessed respond to holy water. (Come to think of it, they’re responding the way members of the liberal media would respond to holy water.)

Keep this in mind. A tweet in which Mr. West mentioned that he “loved” Donald Trump, while at the same time clarifying that he didn’t necessarily agree with his politics, brought a torrent of hate and vituperation from the liberal media, a majority being from the African American community. Much of this has been distilled into the commentary that Kanye is an alt-right troll, who supports KKK sympathizers.

Or, to paraphrase the rapper’s own smear of President Bush during Katrina, Kanye West doesn’t care about black people.

They have all tried to discredit him as a massive idiot and fraud. The Washington Post claimed that West has fallen for the “worst black republican sales pitch” and that his initial tweet about appreciating Candace Owen’s “victim mentality” speech is only done for the “reification of his self image.” Slate published an article grouping Kanye with the alt-right, merely because those in the camp appreciate his epic troll.

Some took it very personally, considering it a massive betrayal. Wendy Williams tweeted, “Kanye continues to spiral out of control,” while John Legend took to lecturing the rapper on the error of his thoughts. With an implied, “How could you?!” he tweeted, “The defining trait of Trump’s campaign and political profile was his embrace of white supremacy. He made it clear every time he spoke.”

Jordan Peele also joked that Kanye’s twitter assault had inspired him to write his sequel to Get Out

And on the African-American radio show, Ebro in The Morning, (where Kanye first mentioned “love” for Donald,) the host and his friends discussed how the artist had no right to even mention anything about the black community. That he was a rich rapper, whose wealth “bubble” barred him from making any statement of black victimhood.

“All he’s surrounded by is the Kardashians and a bunch of ‘yes’ men, and the fashion world. He doesn’t understand what’s happening in the streets, when it comes to protests, none of that.”

Thankfully, not everyone in the black community and Hollywood went to attack Kanye. His friend and protege, Chance the Rapper, tweeted some self-evident common sense, saying “Black People don’t have to be Democrats.” Another massive rap star, Chance broke the twitterverse in his own way, making the internet wonder whether the left does have a problem with that fact that blacks can have a choice in their politics.

But Kanye has has already proven his point. Tolerant pro-choice liberals are pushing a totalitarian body of thought that seeks to punish those who even question it. They become bloodthirsty and vengeful when someone mentions some miniscule affection for those it deems enemies, like Donald Trump. A tweet like this from Kanye, a powerful artist with millions of fans, lets the whole world view the left’s hypocrisy, and disdain for Trump supporters.
