Since the start of President Donald Trump’s second term, more than 300 Iranians attempting to illegally enter the U.S. have been apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol agents.
In all, 307 Iranian illegal aliens have been caught trying to break into the U.S. between official ports of entry sine Trump took office, according to a report by The Center Square.
“The Center Square obtained the information from a Border Patrol agent on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisal,” the article notes, explaining its reason for not citing a source.
Under the Biden Administration, however, Iranian illegal aliens were apprehended – but, then released into the U.S. even though the administration considered Iran a terror threat, the article says:
“It also comes after 1,500 Iranians were apprehended by Border Patrol agents nationwide from 2021 to 2024. Under the Biden administration, Border Patrol agents were instructed to release them even though Iranians are considered ‘Special Interest Aliens’ and citizens of a designated State Sponsor of Terrorism.”
Iran had been refusing to take back illegal aliens before the U.S. struck the regime in an effort to obliterate its nuclear weapons development. As a result, illegal aliens apprehended by U.S. Border Patrol are transferred to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to be held and processed for either prosecution or removal to a third country willing to detain them.
