The Media Research’s Center’s 2016 Gala, featuring the “DisHonors Awards,” concluded Thursday night with Chris Plante presenting funny video clips, from comedy shows and the Internet, identified by Brent Baker and the MRC’s News Analysis Division.

On Thursday night, a star-studded crowd of conservative activists, figures, and guests gathered at the National Building Museum for the Media Research Center’s 2016 Gala featuring the DisHonor Awards. With appearances by conservative columnist Cal Thomas, Weekly Standard's Stephen Hayes, Conservative Review’s Deneen Borelli, Club for Growth president Phil McIntosh, Lt. General William “Jerry” Boykin (ret.), and Baltimore police Lieutenant Brian Rice and Officers Garret Miller and Edward Nero, it was a night to remember.

In a year marked by many profoundly stupid comments by liberal celebrities, HBO’s Bill Maher emerged as the winner of the “Celebrity Dumbass Award” for the Media Research Center’s 2016 DisHonors Awards, Thursday night. Most definitely earning the award’s title, the Real Time host sneered that the Constitution “sucks” and that it “needs a page one re-write.”

MSNBC journalist Joy Reid beat out stiff competition to win the “Hail Hillary Award" at the Media Research Center’s 2016 DisHonors Awards, Thursday night. Special celebrity guests and a raucous crowd chose the host for dubiously insisting that only, maybe, the Founding Fathers could equal the amazing Hillary Clinton.

At Thursday’s Media Research Center Gala, President Brent Bozell presented the tenth annual “William F. Buckley Jr. Award for Media Excellence” to 2016 honoree Charlie Daniels. After celebrating the music career of the legendary country star, Bozell explained: “A few years ago I began reading Charlie’s columns....They were striking for their intellect, their passion, their beauty – reflecting both a fervent mind and a bursting heart.”

After the smoke cleared in the voting for the ‘Damn Those Conservatives to Hell Award’ at Media Research Center’s 2016 Gala, frequent Notable Quotables subject and MSNBC host Chris Matthews emerged as the winner for a vicious smear after the New Hampshire primary on “troll-like” Ted Cruz for living “below the level of human life.”

Washington, D.C. — Late Thursday night, a boisterous crowd of 800 conservatives and guests packed the National Building Museum for the Media Research Center’s 2016 Gala featuring the DisHonors Awards and after awarding the best of the worst in four categories, Melissa Harris-Perry emerged as the overall winner for the most outrageous and pathetic quote by a liberal journalist. Harris-Perry earned the distinction after winning the Dan Rather Memorial Award for the Stupidest Analysis Award earlier in the evening.

Gushing that Hillary Clinton  "might be the most overqualified candidate" for president since polymath Thomas Jefferson, liberal actress Ashley Judd was a no-brainer to win the 2015 Media Research Center's Celebrity Dumbass Award at last Thursday's MRC Gala and DisHonors Awards.

MSNBC journalist Ayman Mohyeldin’s biased coverage of Navy sniper Chris Kyle earned him the “Damn Those Conservatives to Hell” award at Thursday’s 2015 Media Research Center Gala and DisHonors Awards. Appearing on the January 29, 2015 edition of Morning Joe, Mohyeldin condemned Kyle’s “racist tendencies towards Iraqis and Muslims as he was going on some of these, you know, killing sprees in Iraq on assignment.” The comment was so egregious that he went on to win the MRC’s quote of the year.

Conservative comedian and talk show host Joe Piscopo brought the laughter to Thursday night’s 2015 Media Research Center Gala and DisHonors Awards. While the rest of the dinner hammered the liberal media, “The Funnies” were a compilation of the year’s most humorous clips, as complied by the MRC.

Lefty writer and CNN contributor Sally Kohn, along with her fellow CNN panelists, earned the dubious honor of winning the Dan Rather Memorial Award for the Stupidest Analysis at last night's Media Research Center Gala and DisHonors Awards.

He had stiff competition at Thursday night's MRC DisHonors Awards in Rachel Maddow and Charlie Rose, but MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell richly deserved his 2015 Puppy Love Award for gushing over President Obama as having written "the most honest and open book... ever written by a president" with his memoir Dreams of My Father.
