A Republican candidate for president has some strong words aimed at the collusion between Big Tech and the federal government.

North Dakota Governor and 2024 Republican Presidential candidate Doug Burgum (R) warned Americans on Sunday about the consequences of draconian censorship led by Big Tech platforms and the Biden administration.

During an interview on Fox and Friends Weekend, host Will Cain referred to the governor's background in technology and questioned the governor on how he will approach concerns of mass collusion between Big Tech and the federal government. “Collusion between the government and big tech that suppresses free speech just can't happen,” Burgum told Cain before further detailing the Biden regime’s assault against the First Amendment.

“There are a lot of people very skeptical about the growing role of big technology in our lives, seemingly in concert with government,” Cain said about the Big Tech collusion. “How do you approach that or thread that needle?” In response, Burgum said, “I think we have to do what innovation has done for this country always, which is innovation has helped increase and lift productivity for this country and has raised standards of living.”

Burgum also noted that technology itself is not the enemy and that if used well can actually uplift society. “We have to be able to separate the innovation itself from bad policy and under [the] Burgum administration,” Burgum added. The governor said that if elected president, the First, Second and Tenth Amendments would be significantly protected, warning that “states created federal government not the other way around.”

Burgum is expected to join the Republican presidential debate on Fox News on Wednesday.
