Late night comedy’s regular trashing of conservatives and Republicans is not confined to the hosts. Oftentimes, guests are brought on to parrot the host's beliefs, and with a new Republican president, an outgoing host, and another that was briefly suspended, those guests had lots to talk about this year. Here are the ten worst.

It was a rough year for the late night comedy business. One show was cancelled, it was announced another will be cancelled next year, and another was suspended for spouting off about conspiracy theories related to Charlie Kirk’s assassin. Add all that to the regular program of liberal politicking, and you get the top (bottom?) ten moments from late night 2025.

The world of liberal late night comedy got even more liberal in 2025 with the inauguration of a new Republican president. According to a new Media Research Center study, the late night hosts told 12,011 of their 13,097 political jokes about conservatives, which comes out to 92 percent, up from 82 percent last year.

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel closed the book on 2025 on Thursday by doing his best imitation of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. If Jackson claims she can’t define what a woman is because she’s not a biologist, Kimmel claims that Trump administration officials are out of their depth for claiming that “men are men” and “women are women” because they do not have medical degrees.
