Mika Moved By Manchin's Ad Responding To NRA
To say that Mika Brzezinski was "moved" by Joe Manchin's ad, responding to one by the NRA criticizing the Dem senator from West Virginia for supporting new gun-control measures, is a decided understatement.

Have a look at the ad, which Manchin debuted on Morning Joe today, then have a go at describing Mika's emotional reaction.  View the video after the jump.

As HBO’s preachy leftist drama “The Newsroom” about an Olbermann-type “news” show heads into its second season, Lacey Rose at The Hollywood Reporter revealed a raft of MSNBC personalities were part of 13 paid consultants series creator Aaron Sorkin hired to provide “realism” to the program.

Chris Matthews, Lawrence O’Donnell, Alex Wagner, and S.E. Cupp were all brought on board, as well as “…

CNN Calls Obama's Brandenburg Speech 'Historic
CNN's Suzanne Malveaux called President Obama's Brandenburg Gate speech "historic" on Wednesday afternoon, while a CNN headline later proclaimed that he "speaks to the history books." This despite the President speaking to a crowd of less than 5,000 at the same location where he addressed 200,000 Germans five years before.

"President Obama calls for freedom, equal opportunity and a reduction…

Playboy Hits Sean Hannity With...Rachel Maddow's Plummeting Ratings
Conservative commentator Sean Hannity was interviewed in the most recent issue of Playboy magazine, and not surprisingly, he was hit hard and hit often from the left.
Yet of all the questions asked by contributing editor David Hochman, potentially the most absurd was when he tried to beat Hannity up with - wait for it! - Rachel Maddow's plummeting ratings:

NYTimes Hypes Sen. McCaskill's Endorsement of Hillary Clinton
It turns out MSNBC isn't the only liberal news outlet giddy about Missouri Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill's early endorsement of Hillary Clinton for a 2016 presidential bid.
This morning, the New York Times's Jonathan Weisman treated readers to a puffy 16-paragraph story headlined, "A Pro-Clinton PAC Receives the Support of a Key Obama Backer." Apparently when one thinks Democratic power…

Updated | MSNBC’s Finney, Capehart Hype Liberal 'Conspiracy' Theory
Updated at bottom of post: Finney responds via Twitter | Former DNC communications director Karen Finney haughtily claims she wants to “disrupt” the conversation on her new MSNBC weekend show, Disrupt. It’s quickly become apparent that all Finney wants to do on the Lean Forward network is distort conservative claims – and distract viewers from the scandals plaguing the Obama administration.…

MSNBC's Chris Matthews and his liberal guest on Wednesday thrilled over the relationship between Barack Obama and German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Washington Post writer Eugene Robinson even compared them to Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher: "I think in a way, you know, Barack and Angela are the new Ronnie and Maggie...They can be kind of a dynamic duo." (Of course, Reagan and Thatcher…

NBC's Todd Excuses Obama's Poor Speech Performance: Crowd Too Small
Appearing on MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell Reports on Wednesday, NBC's chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd came up with a long list of excuses for President Obama's poor speech performance in Berlin: "I want to give you a little context here....there was an attempt to shrink the crowd size....Maybe they would have gotten 25, 30, 40,000 people....President Obama feeds off a crowd very well." […

NewsBusters Interview: Amity Shlaes on Coolidge, Media, and Neo-Keynes
The overwhelming dominance that liberal statists have over the media today is one of the biggest obstacles faced by advocates of smaller government. Invariably whenever people try to make reforms to existing systems or eliminate waste, their intentions get distorted and lied about and the reformers’ motives get impugned.
Things were not always this way, however. It was not so long ago, in…

Newsweek's Goldberg Sees Pro-Life House Vote As 'Wacky,' 'Embryo Is No
Appearing as a guest on Tuesday's All In show on MSNBC, Newsweek senior writer Michelle Goldberg -- also of The Daily Beast -- observed that the House Republican push for a vote to ban abortion seems "wacky and counterproductive," and later asserted that "Most people intuitively know that an embryo is not a human being."
When host Chris Hayes raised the issue by asking why House Republicans…

WashPost 'Federal Diary' Columnist Wishes Supreme Ct. Would Banish DOM
As early as tomorrow morning but most assuredly before the month is over, the U.S. Supreme Court will issue a ruling on the constitutionality of the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), which defines, for federal purposes, marriage as an institution existing between a man and a woman. A ruling on that count would have repercussions to a whole host of federal employee benefits, so it's perfectly…

Chris Matthews Whines About Sun Harming Obama's Berlin Speech
	Is the sun racist?
Perhaps that isn't such an absurd question when using the logic of Chris Matthews in which almost all forms of opposition to Barack Obama can be attributed to racism. And since the setting sun almost ruined Obama's speech in Berlin by making it impossible to read his teleprompter, thus making it difficult for him to finish his speech, could old Sol be a closet racist?…

Over the holiday weekend a total of 41 people were shot, 7 fatally. Bashir wasted no time politicizing these tragedies by using them as evidence that the “conversation is not over” on pushing new gun control legislation in…

According to Elizabeth Mendes, deputy managing editor at Gallup, newspapers have been trending downward since 1979,…
