Daily Kos: What's the Matter With Oklahoma? Right-Wing Fanatics
The average NewsBusters reader looks at the Republican party's shift to the right in recent years and thinks, "Good." Daily Kos featured writer Hunter, whose beat is the conservative movement, has a different reaction, namely, to liken righty GOPers to suicide bombers.
This past week, Hunter dealt with the supposed burgeoning extremism of the party in two blog posts. On Tuesday, regarding…

Wisconsin's Not Worthy of National Media Attention Any More, Because S
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, whose name has come up as a possible 2016 presidential contender, had his name splashed all over the nation by the establishment press three years ago when he largely succeeded in reducing the disproportionate influence of public-sector union members. That attention remained steady until Walker beat back a statewide recall in tbe spring of 2012.
One might…

The package also includes dozens of quotes from reporters denying this bias, plus a…

USA Today Writes Unopposed Press Release for Liberal Virginia Attorney
One way that liberal journalists promote a “rapid string of victories for the gay marriage movement” is by utterly shutting out any voice that dares speak in opposition to it. In Friday’s USA Today, reporter Richard Wolf (not MSNBC’s Richard Wolffe) wrote an entire story on how new Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring refuses to defend a gay marriage “ban,” and Wolf refused to quote any…

Cancer’s Ray of Hope
By now you might have heard I was diagnosed with cancer a few days ago.
Our dear friends at Twitchy, my buddy Andrew Klavan, and the Daily Caller’s Betsy Rothstein have the blow-by-blow of my first trip to the hospital, my eventual admittance, and the astonishing number of prayers that have come in for me from around the country and the world. To say the attention was unimaginable is an…

MSNBC's Wagner Brings on Lizz Winstead and Sarah Silverman to Trash Ap
MSNBC's furor over Mike Huckabee's remarks on women and the Democrats boiled over on "Now with Alex Wagner" on Thursday afternoon. Radical feminist "comedians" Sarah Silverman and Lizz Winstead were promoted once again for their "V to Shining V" crusade for "Lady Parts Justice" -- that is, untrammeled abortion, the full Gosnell. (See previous promotional segment here.)
“It’s so bizarre,”…

On Friday, the Supreme Court issued a one-paragraph order in Little Sisters of the Poor et al v. Sebeluis et al. Gay-Themed HBO Drama Has ‘Limp Debut
TheWrap.com reports HBO’s new drama “Looking” had a "limp debut," with “not many people ‘looking’ at it on their TV screen. The new HBO comedy-drama had a paltry 338,000 viewers at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.”

Radio Libs Tout Famed Author's Disdain for Conservatives as 'Stupid
Don't you love it when liberals ridicule conservatives as idiots while said liberals do something idiotic? Yeah, watching this is one of my favorite hobbies too, one that guarantees an endless stream of amusing fodder.
Latest example comes by way of Bill Press's radio show yesterday. Press, a former California Democratic Party chief and co-host of an earlier iteration of the cable show "…

Column | Cuomo to Conservatives: Leave New York
Everyone "knows" it is conservatives who are mean-spirited, intolerant, censors of speech with which they don't agree, anti-gay, anti-black and anti just about everything else, right? We know this because the left keeps telling us so.
Which is why in this era of increasingly corrosive language -- note the overuse of the f-word in the film "The Wolf of Wall Street" -- and acidic political…

Column: The Faux Heroism of That Fabulist Feminist Icon Wendy Davis
Wendy Davis, the Texas state senator running for governor, became a liberal superhero last June when she filibustered a bill to prohibit abortions after 20 weeks. (This was the good filibuster, not that awful filibuster three months later by Ted Cruz -- that was just grandstanding.)
Apart from her enthusiasm for abortion (and you have to admit, abortion is really cool), the centerpiece of…

Irony: Multi-Millionaire Jon Stewart Mocks Wealthy Businessmen Discuss
On Thursday's Daily Show, comedian Jon Stewart – who is worth an estimated $80 million – mocked the irony of wealthy business leaders discussing income inequality at the recent World Economic Forum.
"Alright so a group of world's wealthiest people get together in a secluded mountain enclave to discuss concerns over income inequality. Hmm," Stewart remarked. Perhaps Stewart missed the irony…

On Friday, January 17, President Obama unveiled the rough outlines of his plan to modify but maintain the National Security Administration's ability to collect telephony metadata from American civilians. For its part on the front page the following morning, The Washington Post exulted that "Obama moves to rein in surveillance" as he "[o]rders limits on phone data." Another front-pager sought to…
