NYT Bows to Socialist Euro-'Experts' on Amtrak Safety

What would America do without socialist European experts to guide us? New York Times reporter Nicola Clark delivered the latest Euro-flavored knee-jerk response to the deadly Amtrak crash. Clark assumed the crash was caused by insufficient funding, even though findings indicate the train was going double the speed limit around a tight curve when it derailed: "Low U.S. Rail Spending Leads to Poor…

Networks Ignore as Obama Blames Rise of Terrorism on Climate Change

All three networks on Thursday again skipped Barack Obama lecturing the Coast Guard Academy that ignoring the "serious threat" of climate change is a "dereliction of duty." The President somehow blamed the rise of Boko Haram on global warming. He did this on the same week that the terrorist group ISIS claimed the city of Ramadi. By ignoring this controversial address, ABC, NBC and CBS thus…

Poll: Only 23% of Voters Say Reporters Will 'Offer Unbiased Coverage'

The media's reputation for bias was confirmed in a poll released Thursday by Rasmussen Reports, which found 61 percent of "likely U.S. voters do not trust the political news they are getting. That's a 16-point jump from 45% last October." Rasmussen also asked the 965 likely voters, "When it comes to the [2016] presidential campaign, will most reporters try to help or hurt Hillary Clinton, or…

NBC Host Comes Out for Capitalism, Opposes Price Controls

On Wednesday’s NBC Today, co-host Tamron Hall stumbled upon conservative economic philosophy as she defended a hot dog vendor’s right to charge customers whatever he wanted, even if it was overpriced: “But why can’t he set his own prices? I mean, if a restaurant sells their hot dog, steak, or whatever for the price they want, why is his price regulated?”

Chris Christie Spanks News Media for Scandal Double-Standard

On CNBC’s Squawk Box on May 21, GOP presidential hopeful Chris Christie argued that the media’s coverage of Hillary Clinton’s political scandals compared to his own was “absurd.”  “If I had come out, the day after the BridgeGate thing was announced, and said ‘by the way, all my emails are on a private server, and I deleted a whole bunch of them, and I destroyed the server, but you need to take…

Why is MSNBC Marquee Host Rachel Maddow Such a Hater?

You can read a lot from a person by the way she interprets polls and when it's Rachel Maddow doing the interpreting, what quickly becomes apparent is repugnant. On her MSNBC show Tuesday night, Maddow's take on the waning popularity of potential Republican presidential candidates in the states where they serve as governor conveyed more about her than the purported subject at hand.

At AP, GOP's Mayoral Win in Nation's 13th-Largest City a Local Story

The idea that the nation's largest cities are impenetrable Democratic Party strongholds took a serious hit Tuesday night. In Jacksonville, the nation's 13th-largest city, a Republican took back the mayor's office, unseating the incumbent Democrat who won four years ago. Predictably, the Associated Press, when it sensed that Democrat Alvin Brown might hold on in his reelection attempt, treated…

On Thursday, CBS This Morning acted as an unofficial spokesperson for First Lady Michelle Obama as they eagerly promoted a video of her working out at the gym. For their part, ABC’s Good Morning America and NBC’s Today did not cheerlead for Mrs. Obama during their broadcasts.

Deutsch: Not to Sound Elitist, But People Astoundingly Ignorant

What would Donny Deutsch say if he did want to sound elitist?  Because for not wanting to sound elitist, Donny Deutsch came off an awful lot like the denizen of Manhattan and the Hamptons that he is. On today's Morning Joe, reacting to comments from a focus group of Iowa Republicans who were less concerned about Jeb Bush's policy positions and more concerned about his last name, Deutsch…

Leftists Desecrate Old Glory; Networks Silent

Time was, burning an American flag was a reliable way of getting on network TV, there to shock the taxpayers over their TV dinners. But these days, the network news programs don’t seem interested in American flag desecration, unless it happens in the Middle East. In the last five years, there have been only two mentions of domestic flag desecration on ABC, CBS and NBC. Both of those were on ABC.
