As predicted, MSNBC’s Hardball offered plenty of liberal pontificating following Thursday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearings with host Chris Matthews and his A-Block panel calling Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh a “belligerent,” unsympathetic Jekyll and Hyde who “may...be a criminal” but remained temperamentally unfit to be on the Court.

The hearings have yet to begin, but the liberal cable networks have already banged the gavel in the case of sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, finding the defendant guilty in a court of public opinion. Despite the insistence of both Democrats and liberal cable pundits that the magic of an FBI investigation is the only way to ascertain the truth, hosts and talking heads on CNN and MSNBC have spent the last week pronouncing their own pre-cooked verdict against the judge.

Tuesday’s Hardball saw host Chris Matthews and a few of his guests come locked and loaded for battle, illustrating the left’s rabid desire to convict Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh in the court of public opinion and perhaps a future court of law based on, at best, wobbly evidence. With cameos from SiriusXM’s Zerlina Maxwell and everyone’s favorite fake Republican in The Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin, Matthews had plenty of help in the assassination of Kavanaugh’s character plus those who support him.

The Democrats and their allies in the media have spent the last few weeks laying the groundwork to destroy the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. First, they tried to say the process was “illegitimate” because Republicans held up Merrick Garland. When that didn’t work, they brought forth an uncorroborated decades-old allegation of sexual assault. The following is a look at some of the most egregious smears against Kavanaugh and Senate Republicans (so far).

Since the allegations of an attempted sexual assault by Judge Brett Kavanaugh first surfaced, very few on the right had been able to get onto the liberal media’s airwaves and give them the proper reality check they needed. During a Sunday appearance on NBC’s Meet the Press, National Review senior editor Jonah Goldberg burst their bubble by explaining how “the preponderance of the evidence that we have … is in Judge Kavanaugh's favor.”

Following on the heels of his Wednesday show peddling falsehoods and conspiracy theories regarding the sexual misconduct claim against Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh, MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews doubled down for Thursday’s edition plus took the gross step of ranking the Kavanaugh claim as worse than the spousal abuse alleged by Rob Porter and the alleged pedophilia by Roy Moore.

MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews tried his best on Wednesday to help keep Brett Kavanaugh from the Supreme Court nominee in the face of a three-decades-old sexual misconduct allegation, peddling a conspiracy theory about accuser Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and promoted a dubious claim from a Ford classmate.

In a sight that seemed unpredictable a few years ago, NBC host Megyn Kelly appeared on the Wednesday’s Hardball to inform MSNBC host Chris Matthews that, concerning the sexual misconduct allegation against Supreme Court pick Brett Kavanaugh, accuser Dr. Christine Blasey Ford “is running out of options” and “needs to show up” for Monday’s scheduled hearing.

Chris Matthews was baffled Monday night that President Trump had not yet decided to abandon Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh based on the recent sexual assault allegation against him. During a segment on Hardball, the MSNBC host insisted that Kavanaugh must be guilty and that the nomination was “cooked,” concluding that the President’s refusal to rescind that nomination suggested he was “incapable of facing reality.”

MSNBC’s Hardball was in rare form on Tuesday, featuring host Chris Matthews and his various guests perpetually stepping in it. It started with Matthews comparing anti-Trump books to the synoptic Gospels and it snowballed from there, ranging from Matthews touting John Kerry’s new book as being so monumental, panelists the President lacking empathy for hurricane 9/11 victims, and ending with Matthews dubbing the First Family “un-American.”

Often times when watching MSNBC’s Hardball, it’s one moment that stands out in the sea of liberal bias and tomfoolery from longtime host Chris Matthews. But in other instances, it’s a potpourri of lunacy with Matthews and guests trying to one-up each other as walking Notable Quotables. Thursday’s show was a combination of the two with Matthews doing some heavy lifting with some help from New York Times columnist and Never Trumper Brett Stephens.

Reacting on Wednesday’s Hardball to the anonymous Trump official’s self-serving New York Times op-ed, MSNBC host Chris Matthews compared it to the same clarion call offered by George Kennan in 1946 on containing communism while panelists Steve Schmidt seemingly read from a thesaurus to attack the Trump administration and Zerlina Maxwell urged the need for impeachment proceedings.
