Journalists Liberal? Just Ask Huffington Post
September 11th, 2008 3:42 PM
The latest issue of the media mag American Journalism Review gives a wee hint to the leanings of journalists. A study showed that the No. 1 blog read by political reporters is ... the lefty site http://www.huffingtonpost.com/. The communications firm Brodeur interviewed 69 political reporters and it showed both HuffPo and DailyKos in the top five ahead of the one conservative site, Townhall.com.
AP: Ex-GOP Senator Slams Palin; Leaves Out Liberal Voting Record
September 11th, 2008 1:23 PM
"Former GOP senator calls Palin a 'cocky wacko'" teased the Chicago Tribune on its online front page. Curious as to who that might be, I clicked the link to find out who.Let's just say I didn't exactly spit out my coffee when I read the Associated Press story only to find out the culprit is none other than former Sen. Lincoln Chafee (RINO-R.I.). Of course, for those like NewsBusters readers who…

MRC President and NewsBusters Publisher Brent Bozell appeared on the September 11 "Fox & Friends" to talk about media coverage of Sen. Barack Obama's lipstick-on-a-pig remark and on the continued fallout from MSNBC's biased convention coverage.Bozell noted that the liberal media just "don't get it" about widespread anger over the lipstick remark, but cautioned the Fox News anchors from…
Newest Palin Attack: Son Vandalized Buses, Forced to Join Military (NY
September 11th, 2008 6:05 AM
It seems like the rumors, innuendo and smears thrown by the left against Governor Sarah Palin and her family will never stop. Apparently, the newest lie being casually thrown about by the DemocraticUnderground and the National Enquirer is that Palin's soldier son Track was involved as an unidentified vandal of Wasilla school buses in 2005. Worse, the rumormongers are denigrating Track's…
By 5-to-1 Public Thinks Most Journalists Trying to Help Elect Obama
September 11th, 2008 3:38 AM
A week after a Rasmussen Reports survey discovered that by a ten-to-one margin the public believes the media are trying to hurt Sarah Palin, a new Rasmussen poll of 1,000 likely voters, briefly highlighted Wednesday night on FNC's Hannity & Colmes, determined “69 percent remain convinced that reporters try to help the candidate they want to win, and this year by a nearly five-to-one margin…
Did Obama Steal his 'Lip Stick on a Pig' Speech from a Political Carto
September 10th, 2008 6:07 AM
The folks at FreeRepublic have found an interesting... uh, shall we say coincidence... concerning Barack Obama's widely panned September 9 comments made at a rally in Virginia where he seemed to be saying that Governor Palin was a "pig" by referencing the "lipstick" quote from her acceptance speech at the GOP convention. It is looking like Obama's comments were not off the cuff, but scripted. And…
Philly Inquirer's New Palin Slam: She Sold her State's Plane? So What
September 10th, 2008 5:31 AM
Mario Cattabiani of the Philadelphia Inquirer wants you to know that Governor Sarah Palin's selling of her state's plane is no big deal. Why? Well, because Democrat Governor Ed "Fast Eddie" Rendell sold his state's plane, too, and he got a better deal. So, Palin's plane purveying pales next to Rendell's according to Cattabiani. Only, there are quite a few facts that Cattabiani seems to have…
Obamirage? Asian Times's 'Spengler' Describes 'Melancholy, Sour, Acrid
September 9th, 2008 11:03 PM
On September 3, an Asian Times writer known only as "Spengler" described a radically different scene at Invesco Field during the final night of the Democratic Convention from that conveyed by the networks and pundits. If Spengler's take is accurate, it reveals a media elite more in the tank than even its harshest critics have imagined. Rush Limbaugh mentioned Spengler's column during his show…

As NewsBusters reported on September 5, the celebrity gossip magazine "Us Weekly" got inundated by angry subscribers demanding their subscriptions be cancelled after the slick published an issue bashing McCain VP pick Governor Sarah Palin, her family and litle baby Trig.
Well, now it looks like "Us Weekly" is desperate to stem the tide of angry cancellations by offering free issues to anyone…

September 9th, 2008 3:48 PM
The indefatigable Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs has the news: Alaska Democratic Party Deletes Page Crediting Sarah Palin with Killing 'Bridge to Nowhere' A web site paid for by the Alaska Democratic Party says unequivocally that the state of Alaska officially abandoned the Bridge to Nowhere project, and credits Governor Sarah Palin. Or ... it used to say that, before the page…
Radical Code Pinkers Presented as 'Independents' In Det. Free Press Fo
September 9th, 2008 5:39 AM
Back on September 3, the Detroit Free Press ran a feature asking local voters how they felt about Governor Sarah Palin's acceptance speech during the Republican National Convention. However, several of those identified as "independent" voters have turned out to be far from independent but are anti-war activists and members of the radical hate-group, Code Pink. Looks like the Detroit Free Press…
Headlines Offer an Alternate Liberal Reality
September 8th, 2008 10:21 PM
This is to say, not reality at all. What is the first step in the main stream media’s handbook of liberal bias? Why, alter the headline to fit your agenda, of course. In textbook MSM form, liberal news outlets have been altering the planned Tuesday announcement by President Bush that 8,000 troops in Iraq will be home by February. Allow me to demonstrate…
HuffPo 'Reporter' Has Not Corrected Week-Old Errors in 'McCain Didn't
September 8th, 2008 6:05 PM
I sent the e-mail that follows to Sam Stein of the Huffington Post on Saturday evening, and followed up by resending it on Sunday morning. I originally promised to call him out in public this morning if he did not respond, but other business matters intervened. I noted this morning that my call-out would occur this afternoon. Stein has still not responded, so here we are.…
NYT/LAT Disrespecting Mrs. Palin's Marriage
September 8th, 2008 4:27 AM
What's in a name? Well, if you'll excuse my Shakespeare, what's in a name is a certain level of respect. And in the pursuit of straight news a person's name should be presented without sarcastic manipulation as well as with proper titles affixed. For instance, Hillary Clinton is properly either Mrs. Clinton or Senator Clinton. On the other hand, calling Hillary "Her Thighness" is not appropriate…
