It's not hard to imagine federal workers are concerned about the length of the current shutdown. But CNN's New Day Saturday really larded up the airwaves with Twitter sob stories, and then let a federal employee union leader claim one worker can't afford a tombstone for his wife now. 



On Sunday's edition of Reliable Sources, host Brian Stelter brought on three reporters who broke big stories in the #MeToo movement about sexual harassment and assault by powerful people. Unfortunately, when it came to the unproven allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, they could only feel pain for Kavanaugh's "very credible" accusers. No one was invited on CNN to express the view that Kavanaugh's accusers weren't convincing. 



During Sunday's edition of Up With David Gura, guest host Yasmin Vossoughian and her panel discussed comments made by John Kelly during a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times. After describing the Trump administration as "a bunch of complicit people who are all there for their own reasons," panelist Elie Mystal expressed disagreement with Kelly's assertion that he had compassion for the economic migrants coming from Central America: ""Look at Trump's tweets.



Sunday morning on MSNBC’s Up with David Gura (with substitute host Yasmin Vossoughian), Maria Hinojosa, anchor of NPR’s Latino USA, condemned outgoing White House chief of staff John Kelly for referring to “illegal immigrants.”
