When the new Fox News program The Kelly Files trounced The Rachel Maddow Show in the ratings last Tuesday, MSNBC president Phil Griffin actually called for an investigation into the matter.

The good folks at Nielsen complied, and according to New York's Daily News, Griffin is once again looking foolish:

Nielsen has conducted an investigation into the ratings for Megyn Kelly’s new Fox News Channel show, “The Kelly File,” following grousing by MSNBC chief Phil Griffin.

The investigation has revealed that the numbers for Kelly are accurate.

As TVNewser previously reported, Kelly more than doubled Maddow in the all-important demographic of people aged 25 to 54 while almost tripling her in total viewers.

Sorry, Phil. The referees have conferred and you're wrong.
