Madonna Strips For Hurricane Sandy Donations

The Material Girl has been showing more than a lot of love for victims of Hurricane Sandy.

At her most recent concerts in Cleveland and New York, she stripped for the audience in order to get donations for storm relief (videos follow with transcribed highlights and commentary, mild vulgarity).

Her striptease at Madison Square Garden in New York City Monday got a lot of press.

"What happens when a girl takes her pants off?" Madonna asked the cheering crowd. "You throw some money at her."

"This money is not for me," she continued once her pants were off. "We are collecting money for victims of Hurricane Sandy. So please feel free to be generous while I freeze my ass off up here for you."

"You think my naked ass is obscene?" she asked. "I'll tell you what's obscene: man's lack of humanity towards one another. That is obscene."

She then told the crowd, "Give me your money."

Although this display got the media attention because it happened in New York, Madonna did the same thing in Cleveland Saturday.

"I feel tempted to take my pants off all the way," she told the Cleveland crowd, "but you got to do something for me."

"What do you do for a girl who takes off her clothes?" she asked. "You throw money at her, right? Is that what you do?"

"Okay," Madonna continued, "but this money isn't for me. This money is for the victims of Hurricane Sandy in New York, and I've been taking my pants off every night to help rebuild it with lives. Do as I say. Give it up."

What's fascinating here is that there are many people in our country still suffering from Sandy.

But the media got what they wanted out of this disaster: pictures of Obama briefly touring New Jersey with Governor Chris Christie so the President could get reelected.

That's all they were interested in.

Despite this clearly being Obama's Hurricane Katrina, the media have totally moved on completely ignoring the suffering that continues while people like Madonna have to ask American's for their kindness.

Pretty pathetic, isn't it?
