Joy Behar: 'Where Are the Lefties Besides On Current TV?'

Joy Behar asked a question Tuesday evening guaranteed to make conservatives across the fruited plain laugh uncontrollably.

Substitute-hosting for Eliot Spitzer on Al Gore's television network nobody knows exists let alone watches, the comedienne hysterically asked author Thomas Frank, "Where are the lefties besides on Current TV?" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

THOMAS FRANK, AUTHOR: The other thing is, the argument that you made about regulation working, you know, that's a really good argument. It would work, it would work if we had another side in politics in America that was out there making that argument. The reason all of these conservative, this sort of conservative rebellion works is because you don't have, basically you don't have anyone making the opposite point. You don't have a movement on the left anymore.

JOY BEHAR, HOST: Why is that? Why? Where are the lefties besides on Current TV?

FRANK: [Laughs] Yeah, that’s right. Well, it's you and me, right?

So I guess labor unions - despite Frank's later point that they've diminished in strength in recent decades - don't count. Nor does the Occupy movement.

As for media, you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a liberal on television or in print.

But yet people on the left are always carping and whining that they have "no movement" and no vehicles to disseminate their views.

In reality, the problem is that they don't have a monopoly on this anymore, and the fact that the Right does have such platforms now has them in a constant state of panic as does the diminishing number of citizens allowing themselves to be brainwashed by their constant misinformation campaign.

Alas, freedom of speech and the press have become totally inconvenient for liberals now that conservatives have taken a slice of the pie.

All together now: awwwwww!
