In one of the more overt examples of the ABC News violating their broadcast license to date, co-host Ana Navarro directed fans of The View in Florida District-27 to “go vote” for Democratic nominee Elliott Rodriguez over incumbent Republican Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar. This call to electoral action on Monday came amid on-going scrutiny from the Federal Communications Commission, which included their previous electioneering instances.
Before directly telling the show’s supporters to go out and vote for the Democrat, she enticed them by sharing her excitement in finding out how supposedly vulnerable the seat was. Calling it “a Republican-on-Republican crime telenovela going on in South Florida,” she hyped how Salazar was trying to distance herself from President Trump:
She put out an ad where she's looking straight to camera and she says, ‘Mr. President, some of your immigration enforcement efforts have gone too far.’ Really, girl? This is after you voted for the Big Beautiful Bill that funded them, but, okay.
Electioneering is a violation of ABC's broadcast license.

“And I had taken for granted this race because she won two years ago by 20 points. And this is a district that Donald Trump won by 15 points,” she added. “The polls have her dead even!”
She followed up with a direct and overt call for fans of the show in the district to vote for Salazar’s Democratic opponent because there was a good chance they could unseat her:
So, anybody who lives in Coral Gables, in Miami, in Key Biscayne, in downtown Miami, pay attention to that race and go vote because it's going matter. And we can actually knock this woman out. There's a great guy running, his name is Elliott Rodriguez. Give him a look.
It’s worth noting that Navarro admitted to having a personal interest in flipping this particular seat, citing, “It’s actually the district I live in.” Navarro was also one of the show's purported Republican co-hosts.
This wasn’t the first time Navarro had made such an overt attempt at electioneering. Back in May, she demanded viewers vote for Democrats if they wanted Trump stopped:
What I will say is this, though, this tells us why as long as Republicans are in power in the majority there will never be accountability, there will never be checks and balances, there will never be oversight. And so, if Americans want this to end, want the abuses of power checked, they have got to vote Democrats in in November, period.
This instance of electioneering was included in the Media Research Center’s filing with the FCC, back in June, demanding The View’s “bona fide news program” status be pulled.
Navarro wasn’t the only cast member to electioneer either.
Earlier this month, moderator Whoopi Goldberg tried to scare their viewers into voting for Democrats by suggesting their lives would end otherwise:
This is what we can tell you, if you want to see change, you got to make the change. It doesn't matter your color. It doesn't matter if your a Democrat or Republican, if you want change, you got to get out there and make it happen. (…) Help everybody you can to get out this vote because our lives literally depend on this.
