For general discussion and debate. Possible talking point: who will replace Tim Russert as NBC's Washington bureau chief and "Meet the Press" moderator?

As you might imagine, the Kossacks were quick to suggest Keith Olbermann. Could NBC be so foolish as to promote this disgusting caricature of a journalist?

Much more reasonable is David Gregory who has been doing a pretty good job on his new MSNBC show.

Another name being mentioned is Andrea Mitchell who has filled in for Russert when he's been on vacation. However, might Katie Couric's "Evening News" failure, as well as Hillary's, dissuade the network from promoting a woman?

Of course, there's always Chris Matthews who proved early on with "Hardball" that he can actually be an impartial host when he wants to be. Unfortunately, he dropped such neutrality after Bush became president, but could be good in this role if he went back to what made "Hardball" successful in the '90s.

Any other names come to mind?
