MSNBC Contributor: Forget ISIS and Al Qaeda, Trump Is 'Biggest Risk' To USA

June 25th, 2021 10:15 AM

Biggest risk to the United States: Isis? Al Qaeda? Russia? China?

Nope. It's—you guessed it—Donald Trump . . . if you believe MSNBC.

On Nicolle Wallace's MSNBC show this afternoon, ex-FBI agent-turned-liberal-commentator Clint Watts, reacting to Wallace's breathless build-up about the Trump reinstatement theory, claimed:

"The biggest risk to the country isn’t actually from outside the country. It’s not even necessarily from inside the country, but from the last person that was inside the White House."

Just one little problem, Clint and Nicolle. As Wallace admitted:

"DHS is not aware of any specific, credible threats of violence linked to the conspiracy theory about Trump being reinstated."

No worries! When did the lack of evidence ever stop the liberal media from trashing Trump?

Here's the exchange:

NICOLLE WALLACE: DHS is now concerned about a new conspiracy theory, a new Trump-inspired, Trump-incited kind of rage, white rage to use the words of General Milley yesterday. And it’s this. They’re concerned about the Trump reinstatement conspiracy theory.

An exchange came in a members-only briefing that John Cohen, DHS' top counter-terrorism official, gave to the House committee on homeland security.

Cohen told lawmakers that DHS is not aware of any specific, credible threats of violence linked to the conspiracy theory about Trump being reinstated. But he added that DHS is following discussion of the topic online among extremist communities. And he said department officials are highly concerned about it because it fuels the false narrative that the election was rigged, and that’s a narrative that may trigger a violent response from extremists.

It's just jaw-dropping that the disgraced, twice-impeached, ex-president's utterances are now a national security threat.

. . .

CLINT WATTS: The biggest risk to the country isn’t actually from outside the country. It’s not even necessarily from inside the country, but from the last person that was inside the White House.

MSNBC's Clint Watts claiming that President Trump is "the biggest risk to the country" was sponsored in part by General Motors, makers of OnStar, and Angie's List.
