Convention Acknowledgments From NB's Managing Editor

ATLANTA, Georgia-- As I wait for my plane back to Washington, D.C., I thought I'd take the time to thank those who made our NewsBusters trip to cover the Republican National Convention successful.

First off to you, the readers of NewsBusters, for loyally coming back day after day, and many of you hour after hour, to catch our in-depth coverage of the media's liberal bias, thank you. It was an honor to report live from the field for you.

We did suffer a few disappointments due to technical difficulties -- the audio for our interview with Tony Blankley didn't turn out and hence we had to scrap posting it to NewsBusters -- but overall we're pleased with the wide array of journalists, politicians and pundits we were able to query on camera and post online.

Secondly I'd like to thank my NewsBusters colleagues Noel Sheppard, Matthew Sheffield, and Jacob Lybbert, as well as EyeBlast.tv's Danny Glover and Business & Media Institute's Jeff Poor and Whitney Stewart. You guys made for a great team out in the field.

I also tip my hat to the fine work of the NewsBusters bloggers in the MRC News Analysis Division who held the fort down at headquarters at Alexandria, Virginia.

A huge round of applause is due the various police officers, Secret Service, and Minnesota National Guardsmen for their polite, efficient, and courteous work at the convention.

Thanks to all the folks on the Republican Convention staff, but especially to Hayden Pruett and David Hauptmann for their help with credentials and access to interviewees. Thanks to Scott Hogenson for helping Jacob Lybbert and me get the John Bolton interview.

Thanks to all of the donors to the Media Research Center, the parent organization of NewsBusters, who through their financial support made our trip possible.

And last but certainly not least, with all the love in my heart, thanks to my beautiful fiancee Laura for all her love, prayers, and understanding. I love you and I can't wait to see you again.
