Eric Swalwell Appeared on CNN & MS NOW 50 Times Since the Start of 2026

Democratic Congressman Eric Swalwell made a total of 50 appearances on CNN and MSNBC combined between January 1 and April 10, 2026 — averaging roughly 3–4 appearances per week despite not holding party leadership.

He appeared 26 times on MSNBC (including 10 weekend slots on shows like The Weekend, The Beat: Weekend, and Alex Witt Reports) and 24 times on CNN (including five on The Arena with Kasie Hunt and three on Laura Coates Live).

Many of his appearances involved female hosts; on CNN, 19 of 24 segments featured women, while networks continued platforming him heavily even as sexual misconduct allegations surfaced.

Swalwell’s Call for Sexual Assault Victims ‘to Be Heard’ Comes Back to Haunt Him

In 2018 during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings, Eric Swalwell demanded public hearings to “bring in all the victims, allow them to be heard, allow them to be questioned,” claiming it would clear an innocent man’s name.

Now, multiple women have come forward accusing Swalwell of sexual misconduct — including allegations of rape published by CNN and claims of assault detailed by a former staffer in the San Francisco Chronicle — prompting investigations by the House Ethics Committee and Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg.

Swalwell has rejected the accusations and sent cease-and-desist letters to silence accusers, creating a stark contrast with his earlier calls for victims to be publicly questioned and heard.

CNN Host to CA Republican: I Haven’t ‘Seen Proof’ Swalwell’s Creepiness Was Covered Up

On CNN, host Dana Bash pushed back against claims of a cover-up, stating she has not “seen any proof” that Democrats knew about allegations that Swalwell raped people and insisting she has not “seen or heard any Democrat who knew about allegations of rape.”

California Republican Steve Hilton countered that Swalwell’s predatory behavior was “an open secret on Capitol Hill,” saying he has heard multiple accounts from Democrat friends in California politics.

The exchange highlighted Democratic hypocrisy, with Hilton contrasting the media’s treatment of Swalwell allegations to the intense scrutiny and litigation faced by Trump over sexual misconduct claims.
