Pro Che Guevara Org Promotes Halt to Deportations

A pro-amnesty, anti-deportation organization whose goal is to “get Immigration and Customs Enforcement out of our communities” recently tried to stop the deportation of a drunk-driving convict, alleging to MundoFox that the man should be spared from deportation because of his record of service as a member of their organization.

The campaign to keep José Quinde from being deported featured a photo of a revolutionary fist-raising Quinde at the facilities of Unidad Latina en Acción (United Latin Action, or ULA) New Jersey, with a poster of anti-American revolutionary Che Guevara hoisted prominently in the background.

“Activists seek to avoid José being added to that list [of deportations by the Obama administration] because of his work with a pro-immigrant organization,” MundoFox’s Peggy Carranza reported, while interviewing the ULA’s Roberto Vaca.

PEGGY CARRANZA: ...activists seek to avoid José being added to that list because of his work with a pro-immigrant organization.

ROBERTO VACA,UNITED LATIN ACTION: Mainly helping immigrants who are in danger of being deported, immigrants whose wages are being stolen. We also do that.

PEGGY CARRANZA: and so you say José has collaborated in all that?

ROBERTO VACA, UNITED LATIN ACTION: Yes, he is an active member of our organization. So it is worth to keeping someone of that nature here with us.

Just hours after the report, however, José Quinde was deported by ICE. And within just a few days of Quinde’s deportation, damning evidence against ULA allegations was revealed by the organization itself, on its own Facebook page.

“José arrived very late to our organization, with only five days. Despite that factor, we decided to struggle once against ‘la Migra’ (federal Immigration authorities),” ULA posted on its Facebook page on May 25. So evidently, by ULA’s own admission, their comrade in arms did not in fact have a considerable record of service working with their organization, but only desperately appealed to the organization a scant five days before his deportation order was to be executed.

As the Che-cheering ULA continues its efforts and publicity pitches to halt all deportations and the enforcement of federal immigration law, it apparently has no qualms about lying or attempting to deceive MundoFox, the rest of the media and the public in general.
