Coverage of the “Abolish ICE” protesters who oppose the Trump administration’s zero tolerance policy against illegal immigration has reached a fever pitch on the nation’s top Spanish-language media outlets.

The protesters efforts to shut down ICE operations in Portland, Oregon, along with the arrests of hundreds of protesters who also broke the law inside a United States Senate office building in Washington, were highlighted on all the leading Univision, Telemundo and Estrella news programs on June 28 and June 29.

In advance of more protests this weekend, Univision morning show anchor Satcha Pretto also editorialized in favor of the protesters’ cause from the anchor desk, saying “Hopefully these protests are effective.”

SATCHA PRETTO, NEWS ANCHOR, UNIVISION: Hopefully these protests are effective.

During over 18 minutes of reporting on the protests over two days, only the voices of protesters and their supporters were heard. None of the reports included voices in favor of U.S. immigration law enforcement.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles-based Estrella also highlighted the radicals’ threats of violence against federal officials.

ADRIANA YAÑEZ, NEWS ANCHOR, ESTRELLA: Officials of the Department of Homeland Security have been the target of threats. One of them found the body of an animal burned and beheaded at the door of his house.

The radical anti-ICE protesters are also championing the harassment of additional federal law enforcement officers and government officials. When will the totally one-sided, supportive coverage of the protests and acts of insurrection end?

Below is the complete transcript of the above-referenced report on the Estrella TV network, as aired during the June 26, 2018 edition of Noticiero Estrella.
