Hunter Biden Exposé Author Blasts ‘Unholy’ Big Tech-Gov’t Censorship Alliance

The author of the New York Post’s bombshell Hunter Biden exposé did not hold back against the egregiousness of Big Tech colluding with government entities to censor her story.

Breitbart Politics Editor Emma-Jo Morris testified before the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government on how Big Tech platforms sought to bury politically damning material to protect then-presidential candidate Joe Biden. Morris, who previously wrote for the Post, referred to government collusion with Big Tech as “an unholy alliance” and slammed those who sought to discredit the bombshell as “Russian disinformation.”

Morris wasted no time in delivering scorching remarks against the Big Tech censorship. “I am here today because I published a series of news stories three years ago, in October 2020, about Hunter Biden’s now infamous laptop — also known as the ‘laptop from hell’ — which is seen as some of the most scandalous reporting of the last decade,” Morris stated in her introduction. “What was more scandalous than the reporting itself though was the fact that it exposed the unholy alliance between the Intelligence Community, social media platforms, and legacy media outlets.”

Speaking on Biden’s alleged role in his son’s controversial foreign business dealings, Morris said: “My reporting showed that, despite then-candidate Joe Biden’s repeated and furious denials, he was apparently involved in the foreign business deals of his family.” Ahead of the 2020 presidential election, Biden staunchly defended his son’s dealings and claimed: “I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”

Morris further detailed the thorough verification of the evidence she uncovered in her 2020 report, including a “federal subpoena showing the FBI was in possession of the material the story was based on.” However, Big Tech platforms censored the story, without evidence, on claims of Russian disinformation. Morris said, “[W]hen the stories appeared on social media that morning — the venue where millions of Americans go to find their news, and editors to get their angles — within hours, the reporting was censored on all major platforms, on the basis of being called ‘hacked’ or ‘Russian disinformation.’”

Twitter, most infamously, censored and banned the Post altogether for daring to share the bombshell story on the formerly anti-free speech platform. Morris didn’t mince words. She said, “Twitter refused to allow users to share the link to the stories, banned the links from being shared in private messages — a policy typically used to clamp down on child porn distribution — and locked the Post out of its verified account.”

Later in the hearing, Morris cited an MRC-post election poll of seven key swing states, which found that former President Donald Trump would have won the 2020 election if the damning reporting around the infamous laptop had not been censored in the run-up to the election.
