Soros-Funded Group Backs New Film Attacking Kochs

Brave New Films, Soros ally Robert Greenwald’s pet project, is releasing a film aptly titled “Koch Brothers Exposed.” The film is presented as a shocking expose of a looming threat to democracy, and features a parade of left-wing “experts” who talk about how the conservative philanthropist brothers are actually trying to remake America in their own image.

Brave New Films is a part of the Media Consortium, an organization that “'is a network of the country's leading, progressive, independent media outlets.” The list is predictable –  everything from Alternet to the Young Turks, who have since lost their MSNBC show.

Soros funds nearly every major left-wing media source in the United States through the Media Consortium which has gotten $425,000 in Soros funds since 2000.

More than half of the experts who speak in the video are from organizations which are funded by Soros, either directly or as a part of the Media Consortium. Others include the likes of Van Jones, the former green jobs czar who disappeared from the White House in a late-night resignation after it was revealed he had signed a 9/11 Truther petition. (He now has a senior fellowship at the Center for American Progress, which received $7.3 million from Soros's Open Society Foundations) and Sen. Bernie Sanders, the self-labeled democratic-socialist senator from Vermont.

Previous Brave New Films projects include attacks on the war in Afghanistan, FOX News, Sen. John McCain and Wal-Mart, as well as previous attacks on the Koch brothers. The Brave New Films site has an entire section going after Fox called: “When Fox Attacks.” It claims: “Videos from this campaign have been viewed over 8 million times.”
