The panelists on Morning Joe got a chance to ask questions of presidential candidate Bernie Sanders on Wednesday, after his strong showing in the Iowa Caucus. The panelists asked fair questions of the candidate such as how he plans to draw in older voters. But Mika Brzezinski, a known Hillary Clinton supporter, couldn’t help but grill Sanders with Hillary’s talking points about his campaign:
Iowa is known for having voters make last minute decisions on caucus day. Andrea Mitchell kept audiences on the edge of their seats while chronicling this internal conflict in one Democrat sophomore college student, Gabe Schabilion. Well the wait is finally over! Gabe announced his final decision on Monday afternoon: “I’ll actually be caucusing for Hillary.”
It only took the State Department to withhold 22 of Hillary Clinton’s emails for the media to report “about how advanced this investigation is” admitted Joe Scarborough on Monday’s Morning Joe. “Is it safe to talk about it now?” Scarborough recalled, referring to a conversation he had with a network executive.
MSNBC may have let the cat out of the bag on Friday morning’s episode of Morning Joe. The liberal media want Donald Trump to be the GOP nominee, and will hail his skill at manipulating them. Joe Scarborough admitted that the way the media covers Trump is way over the top. “We were going over homework and we turned on the TV and I'm glad I did. It was Trump's plane landing in Des Moines. And I swear to God -- It was like the pope had landed with the Middle East peace pact to end 3,000 years of war.”
Joe Scarborough was rip-roaring mad Wednesday morning about Fox News’ press release regarding Donald Trump refusing to attend the next debate. Scarborough believed that Fox News and Megyn Kelly had been biased and unfair to Trump in past debates, and would not subject himself to questioning from the network: “I would rather set myself on fire. I would rather jump off a cliff.”
Viewers of Tuesday’s MSNBC Live were treated to a lovely rant by Hardball host Chris Matthews denouncing the tone of politics today, and about his ‘favorite kind of liberal.’ “There are real liberals and there are people who look and talk like liberals. Liberals to me, the good ones, are people who really do care about individual people.”
When one imagines the fabled William Wallace it typically involves a man with long dirty hair and blue face-paint, fighting for his people’s freedom. Ari Melber, on Monday afternoon’s MSNBC Live, said he imagines a man that wants to restrict people’s right to bear arms and dictate the size of people’s sodas. “We like a reluctant warrior, in war. It was important in Braveheart, right. Mel Gibson didn’t initially want to fight.” The man Melber is describing is Michael Bloomberg, the former Mayor of New York City.
On Friday’s edition of Morning Joe, Mika Brzezinski shared her shock when found out she might be raising a young republican, but her evidence is a little suspect. “I noticed this when my daughter was twelve she started to become selfish and money grubbing… And I said, “oh my gosh, I got a Republican in the family.””
Joe Scarborough may not “know who [he] was insulting here”, on Wednesday’s Morning Joe, but that didn’t stop him from digging into Marco Rubio, saying that the presidential candidate has been “preprogrammed” to be the “best robotic candidate in the race.”
Washington Post columnist E.J. Dionne appeared on Morning Joe Tuesday morning to promote his new book Why the Right Went Wrong. He expressed horror at the idea of a Republican president with the doomsday claim: “It will be just like Herbert Hoover! And we saw what happened after that!”
“Well, let’s go to war” Mika Brzezinski sarcastically exclaimed, on Monday’s Morning Joe, in response to Joe Scarborough. The host elicited Brzezinski’s response when he said he wished the Obama administration would negotiate with parties “other than Iran and Cuba.” Scarborough hit back hard. “I'm not saying go to war. And that's the stupidity. That stupidity that the administration has been pedaling since day one…You either, cave in to Iran and give them over one hundred billion dollars or you go to war. There's an in between.” Brzezinski also hailed the Iran deal as a “milestone.”
Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton phoned into Morning Joe, Friday, and Mika Brzezinski could not contain her excitement. “I don’t know, are you? Are you sure?” Brzezinski exclaimed excitedly, when Clinton said she was happy to be on the program. Brzezinski didn’t seem to hold anything back, informing Clinton she would support her if she won the Democratic nomination: “I would vote for you if you won.”
Joe Scarborough on Thursday's Morning Joe attempted to express outrage over Iran's hostage video and the Obama administration's handling of it. But co-host Mika Brzezinski didn't want to listen, sarcastically suggesting Scarborough “go on for about 20 minutes with outrage." Scarborough questioned how anyone could be happy and grateful when the circumstance was so dire.
Appearing on MSNBC, Tuesday, Nancy Pelosi insisted that the sex accusations against Bill Clinton are not important because he’s not the one running for president and that no one cares about “what Bill Clinton did two decades ago.”
MSNBC anchor Mark Halperin likely surprised some of his viewers, Monday, by declaring that some of the sexual accusations against Bill Clinton have been “confirmed and acknowledged” by the former President.
