Don Lemon did it again. On the second night of CNN’s Democratic debate, the CNN Tonight host pushed the candidates on the stage to attack President Trump’s “racist rhetoric” and “racist tweets attacking Baltimore.” Over the course of two nights Lemon, in his role as moderator, used his questions to pontificate on Trump’s “racism” – as if the Democratic candidates wouldn’t have done that anyway.
On Tuesday, NewsBusters asked how anybody could take Don Lemon seriously as a debate moderator, since the CNN host has used his show to relentlessly promote lefty policies and politicians, and launch invectives against Donald Trump and his supporters. That rage against Trump was on display at Tuesday night’s Democratic debate. The following are Lemon’s most obnoxious questions from the left as aired on the July 30 CNN Democratic debate.
CNN has dozens of anchors and political journalists, yet the network chose the Democrat-adoring, Trump-despising, black hole conspiracy theorist Don Lemon to join the more reasonable Jake Tapper and Dana Bash as moderators of this week’s two-night Democratic presidential debates. The following is a very brief look (via the MRC’s archives) at Lemon’s most incendiary and obnoxious outbursts during his tenure at CNN.
Somebody should pitch Hollywood producers on a new type of celebrity game show called “Who Can Sink Lower?” Because every month there is an intense competition amongst entertainers to see who can descend further into the depths when it comes to heinous descriptions of Donald Trump and his supporters.
Norah O’Donnell has risen through the ranks of TV jobs from MSNBC correspondent to CBS This Morning co-host. From her days defending the “centrist” Barack Obama to trashing Donald Trump as “dangerous to democracy,” the following is just a sample of the incoming CBS Evening News anchor’s career of adoring Democrats and liberals and attacking Republicans and conservatives.
From hoping the first Democratic candidate debates would produce a savior from the “cruel” “dictator” Donald Trump to condemning his “Guantanamo Bay” for children and then raining on the President’s Fourth of July parade, the following are the most obnoxious moments of media bias over the last month.
It could get nasty tonight and tomorrow when NBC’s moderators bring up the topic of Donald Trump during the Democratic candidates debate. If recent history is a guide expect the moderators to ask questions that push the candidates to criticize Trump and his administration’s policies while treating some candidates – like Bernie Sanders – as heroes. The following are just a few examples of NBC’s debate moderators most liberal moments since Trump announced his candidacy in 2015, as culled from the MRC’s archives:
CNN chief White House correspondent and cartoonishly self-centered Jim Acosta released on Tuesday his 353-page work of narcissism, The Enemy of the People: A Dangerous Time to Tell the Truth in America. And, folks, it’s everything you thought it would be and then some. CNN chief White House correspondent and cartoonishly self-centered Jim Acosta released on Tuesday his 354-page work of narcissism, The Enemy of the People. And, folks, it’s everything you thought it would be and then some.
Donald Trump may be the most hated president in Hollywood since...well...ever. In the last month celebrities from Bill Maher to Cher have wished the worst, most vile things on the current president. The following is just a sampling of the worst outbursts (this past month) from Hollywood:
Democratic presidential candidates had it super easy when they showed up for interviews on cable and network shows this past month. Candidates like Beto O’Rourke, Cory Booker and Pete Buttieg were greeted by hosts who bragged about owning their campaign t-shirts and asked them hard-hitting questions like “are you too nice?” and “what can we do better” to help your candidacy? Those same news outlets trashed Donald Trump as “sociopath” whose rhetoric has ramped up a “body count” of dead children. The following are the most obnoxious moments of media bias over the last month.
TV journalists are framing House Democrats’ threat to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress as a justifiable measure to combat the Trump administration’s perceived stonewalling. But in 2012, when House Republicans held then-Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt for his refusal to comply with a lawful subpoena, many of the same talking heads dismissed the act as absurd “political theater.”
Therapists in Hollywood must be raking it in this month, as celebrities from Chelsea Handler to Amy Poehler confessed to having emotional breakdowns and “panic attacks” over Donald Trump. Some of them were just sad as they cried over no collusion in the Russia case. Singer Bette Midler claimed Trump had “caused depression, despair, confusion and death.” Others expressed anger. The following is a just a sample of celebrities losing their mind over Donald Trump in the last month.
