Even though Vermont Democrat senator and 2020 presidential candidate Bernie Sanders identifies as a “democratic socialist” he was pressed from the left by the co-hosts of The View on Friday’s show. Bernie fan Joy Behar actually apologized for having to ask him “tough questions.”

Disgraced former deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe made the media rounds Tuesday promoting his new book, which is full of salacious claims and stopped by The View for a lengthy discussion about it. However, only co-hosts Meghan McCain and Abby Huntsman called into question McCabe’s stories, even though he was fired from the FBI for lying to federal investigators.

Tuesday on The View, the hosts addressed the updates to the Jussie Smollett case that suggests there is evidence he fabricated his entire story of being assaulted by two Trump supporters. The co-hosts lamented the damage this would do for actual victims of hate crimes, and Sunny Hostin even admitted that she was embarrassed for believing Smollett and coming out in support for him, initially.

Monday, the hosts of the View finally got around to discussing Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren’s cringeworthy video from last week, where she awkwardly opened a beer while announcing her 2020 bid for president. While many on the right mocked the apparent shameless pandering, View co-host Sunny Hostin actually defended it as “authentic” on Monday’s show.

During Thursday’s edition of The View, the panel reacted to a clip of Wednesday’s Tucker Carlson Tonight, where the eponymous host pointed to studies showing that “when men make less money than women, women generally don’t want to marry them.” As a whole, the panel seemed dismissive of his argument, saying his arguments came from “loony town” and seamed “real nutty.”
