The World Cup has been whittled down to just eight (soon to be seven) countries, and along with the eliminated teams, the majority of the foreign fans have gone home. And to nobody’s surprise, the entire world seems to have a much higher opinion of the United States than our own left-wing corporate media do.
For weeks, we’ve seen cute videos of foreigners gawking at the size of American food portions, raving about the convenience of air conditioning, and just generally sharing positive feelings about our nation’s people and culture.
Also for weeks, we’ve seen not-so-cute videos of journalists attempting to explain why America is Very Bad, Actually.
Soccer fans visiting the U.S. for the World Cup love America way more than these leftist media hacks.

Can we keep the fans and deport the self-hating journalists? pic.twitter.com/vFE9x8OqBb
In the lead-up to the tournament, MS NOW correspondent David Noriega was pessimistic about the rest of the world’s attitude. In a report about World Cup preparations, he remarked dourly that all of the foreign spectators would be visiting America during a “moment of great turmoil.”
Back in June, The View co-host Joy Behar remarked that she was “embarrassed for this country,” while defending a similar comment made by comedian Larry David. “We should all be,” she added.
Behar’s co-host, Sunny Hostin, also recently alleged, without evidence, that the American flag was a symbol of “white supremacy.” Hostin further admitted that her black supremacist father had instilled in her a tendency to feel “unsafe” in the presence of the national flag.
On the same day as Behar’s remarks, New York Times “conservative” (read: liberal) columnist Bret Stephens penned a column titled, “If You Love America, Cringe for It.” In his ironically cringe-inducing piece, Stephens attempted to argue that the most patriotic thing Americans could do was criticize their own country.
