PBS is the place for crude pap smear jokes, apparently. Liberal comic Kathy Griffin appeared on the Tavis Smiley show, Tuesday, to assail several of the Republican presidential candidates. As Smiley laughed, she mocked, “Dr. Ben Carson, I wouldn't let that guy give me a pap smear.” She told Smiley: “I mean, something is just in the water. And Marco Rubio is, like, scary."

On Thursday's CNN Newsroom, after showing several clips allegedly showing GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush to be "gaffe prone," anchor Carol Costello somehow thought it newsworthy to read and display on air some of the Twitter mockery of Bush and the other Republican candidates, including a suggestion that they are a group of clowns.

In Wednesday’s Washington Post Express, Post reporter Stephanie Merry laid out “Why Kathy Griffin is Risky Business” at the E! Network replacing Joan Rivers in the show “Fashion Police,” which is being scaled back to 17 episodes a year. Merry thought the big question was “How long can Griffin hang onto the job?” [This always reminds us of the late Noel Sheppard, who loved a good Griffin-bash.]

THIS is CNN!

On Sunday's Reliable Sources, vulgar comedienne Kathy Griffin - who will once again be co-hosting CNN's New Year's Eve special this year despite kissing Anderson Cooper's crotch on air last year! - actually asked new host Brian Stelter, "Have you ever spooned with Candy Crowley?...You might get a better time slot" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

At the same time the supposedly most trusted name in news is allegedly pondering giving vulgarian comedienne Kathy Griffin a show on that network, she's just gotten the boot from Bravo.

Such was reported in a Cincinnati Enquirer review of her "performance" at the Taft Theatre Friday:

Rather than being punished for her lewd behavior on their network, CNN executives are rumored to be considering giving vulgar comedienne Kathy Griffin a regular show with Anderson Cooper.

Deadline reported moments ago:

CNN's Piers Morgan had a rather vulgar exchange with E! Entertainment's Chelsea Handler Wednesday night.

After the host of Chelsea Lately told her guest, "You can suck my a--," he responded, "That was exactly what I was going to suggest" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

Rather than actually taking heat - or heaven forbid having to apologize! - for kissing Anderson Cooper's crotch on CNN's New Year's Eve program a few weeks ago, vulgarian comedienne Kathy Griffin continues to do a victory lap for her antics.

On TBS's Conan Wednesday night, Griffin even said, "They did actually get the highest ratings since 2008, and I think it's because I kissed Anderson's sardine. I really do" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

As NewsBusters previously reported, vulgarian comedienne Kathy Griffin on CNN's New Year's Eve broadcast kissed Anderson Cooper's crotch.

On the CBS Late Show Wednesday, Griffin was quite pleased by her antics proudly telling host David Letterman that she sent an email message to Ryan Seacrest proclaiming, "I tried to blow Anderson Cooper" (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

One would think the weirdest moment for Anderson Cooper during CNN's New Year's Eve broadcast was co-host Kathy Griffin kissing his crotch on national television.

Not so, for in a New Year's Day wrap-up with Griffin on Tuesday's Anderson Cooper 360, the host actual said the "weirdest moment" of the broadcast was when Korean singer Psy and MC Hammer surprisingly dropped by (video follows with transcript and commentary):

UPDATE: Cooper doesn't think this was the "weirdest moment" of the broadcast.

No matter what vulgar things Kathy Griffin does on CNN's live New Year's Eve broadcasts, the folks at the supposedly most trusted name in news continue to invite her back.

On Monday night's program, after first telling co-host Anderson Cooper "I'm going to tickle your sack," she shortly after midnight actually kissed his crotch (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

Cher and Kathy Griffin on Friday released a campaign video accusing Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney of wanting to turn back time on women’s rights.

I guess these two brainiacs haven’t gotten the message that the White House’s phony Republican war on women has failed and failed badly (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):
