Even though Hillary Clinton has been the front-runner for the Democratic nomination in the 2016 presidential race since she declared her candidacy in April, the former U.S. secretary of state is embarking on a swing of fund-raising events this week that will be hosted by such famous stars as actress Drew Barrymore and Sting, the popular musician.

This move is taking place after a recent NBC News poll showed that she still leads Bernie Sanders by double digits, but among millennials who were born between 1980 and the mid-2000s and represent more than one-third of the U.S. population, more than half support the socialist senator from Vermont.

During Monday evening's edition of The Daily Show on the Comedy Central cable network, new host Trevor Noah mocked the efforts by the Cable News Network not only to promote the first Democratic debate in the 2016 presidential contest on Tuesday, but also to add another participant to the event: vice president Joe Biden.

Noah rattled off the current candidates: former U.S. secretary of state Hillary Clinton, junior senator from Vermont Bernie Sanders, former Maryland governor Martin O'Malley, former U.S. senator from Virginia James Webb and former Rhode Island governor Lincoln Chafee.

Monday on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough discussed Bernie Sanders and how strange it is the crowds he draws, and young people in particular. Brzezinski would highlight the numbers Sanders' campaign has brought in compared to President Obama. Brzezinski and Scarborough would address the rise of Sanders and the strong young voter base he has. The discussion would lack at the desire for non-mainstream ideas and how outsider candidates like Trump and Sanders have articulated themselves in the primaries.

Bernie Sanders is polling better than Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire, while the liberal broadcast networks continue to downplay his extreme views.

A New Hampshire poll released Sept. 8, 2015, indicated Sanders had pulled ahead of fellow presidential candidate Clinton. The networks jumped to report the poll’s findings, but haven’t properly labeled Sanders’ political views in more than two months. The last mention was on NBC Nightly News on July 3.

The Cold War is clearly over. In just a few decades, the media have dragged the U.S. from red, white and blue to just red. ABC, CBS and NBC have normalized the far-left views of socialist presidential candidate Bernie Sanders simply by refusing to say the word “socialism” -- ignoring it in 82 percent of stories.

Socialism, which used to be equated with “gulag,” bread lines and the deaths of tens of millions of innocent people, has become mainstream in the news media and an afterthought in their coverage.

A Jorge Ramos interview with self-styled socialist and Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders was the occasion for Univision’s first broaching of the still-developing scandal of Planned Parenthood’s practices in trafficking the body parts of aborted babies, as revealed in a series of undercover videos produced by the Center for Medical Progress.

Rachel Maddow spent the first segment of her MSNBC show last night gushing over Bernie Sanders’ long shot campaign– because a bumper sticker was apparently found in the far north Alaskan city of Deadhorse!

Whether it was due to sheer panic or simple irony, during Wednesday's edition of New Day -- the early-morning program on the Cable News Network -- co-hosts Chris Cuomo and Alisyn Camerota expressed great concern regarding Hillary Clinton's front-runner status in the early primary states of Iowa, Colorado and Virginia, according to a new survey conducted by Quinnipiac University.

“Hot off the presses,” Camerota began the segment discussing a poll that revealed “some very interesting findings,” including results that indicate “Hillary Clinton facing major challenges against her Republican opponents in some very key primary states.”

Monday night, Lawrence O’Donnell gushed over Bernie Sanders’ authenticity and the consistently large crowds he has acquired in his speeches across the country. The July 6 edition of The Last Word featured a panel discussion which emphasized that the Vermont senator’s socialism isn't that far outside the mainstream.

The Associated Press currently has a photo for sale at its APimages.com site showing a graphic of a gun pointing at Ted Cruz's head. It has been there since early Saturday evening.

It would appear that Charlie Neibergall, the person who snapped this photograph, had to patiently wait for the "right" moment to take the photo in question.

Two U.S. Senators -- one Republican, the other a socialist who votes with the Democrats -- are outside candidates for president. Both were profiled in Monday's New York Times, but with quite different results. While Rand Paul's anti-surveillance crusade was caricatured as cynical "sloganeering," socialist Bernie Sanders' modest Iowa crowds (100 people instead of 50?) were hailed as a liberal insurrection.

The cheering section for Bernie Sanders (I-VT) at MSNBC is growing with each passing day. Wednesday night, Rachel Maddow was upbeat about the self-described socialist’s chances in the 2016 presidential election, complaining the media have unfairly dismissed Sanders’ ability to compete with Hillary Clinton: “The beltway media has been treating Bernie Sanders almost like a gadfly, somebody who exists only to pester Hillary Clinton to move to the left during the primaries.”
