On Friday, Lloyd Grove at The Daily Beast made fun of the rather slow launch of the Sarah Palin pay-TV venue. The headline is “Stuck in the Lamestream: Sarah Palin TV Barely Registers on the Web.” This is instantly mockable since The Daily Beast is the Tina Brown-run outfit that drove the print edition of the formerly hallowed Newsweek straight into the hard cement.
Sarah Palin

New York Times political writer Mark Leibovich employed the Full Sneer in a story for this weekend's New York Times Magazine entitled "The Bumpkinification of the Midterm Elections.” Leibovich began with Iowa Republican candidate Joni Ernst talking about castrating hogs, but he soon turned to the announcement that the “apotheosis” of bumpkin-hood was Sarah Palin, the mama grizzly with the brawling children.
Bristol Palin, on Thursday, responded to Carol Costello’s joking about her assault and subsequent apology. Palin also pointed out the liberal media's double-standard when it comes to treating family members of Democratic politicians.

On Thursday, CNN’s Carol Costello offered an apology to the Palin family, via a statement sent to Politico and on her Twitter feed, but so far she has refused to do what even former MSNBC host Martin Bashir did, and offer an on-air apology. Mark Levin made fun of that.

UPDATE: Costello apologizes. When video of Ray Rice punching and then dragging his fiancé around on the floor was released CNN’s Carol Costello justifiably called it “disturbing” and “insane.” But when Costello played the audio of a different woman recounting a similar horrifying experience of being assaulted and dragged around by a man, she told her audience: “Sit back and enjoy.” The difference? The woman in question happened to be the daughter of favorite liberal hate object and former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
Nicolle Wallace, former Communications Director for President Bush and current co-host of the View, appeared on the syndicated show Wendy on Wednesday to talk about her new gig as well as her career in Republican politics. During the interview, Wallace, who spends much of her time criticizing her fellow Republicans, endorsed the idea of Hillary Clinton running for president in 2016. The former Bush staffer declared that she was a “huge fan of the idea of a Hillary Clinton candidacy.”

In addition to 9/11 Truther Rosie O'Donnell, two other hosts debuted on The View, Monday. Moderate Republican Nicolle Wallace and liberal actress Rosie Perez. Wallace famously worked for – and then publicly trashed – Sarah Palin. Perez quizzed, "One, what was it like when you first met her? Two, did the winking get on your nerves? And three, when did you just want to just pop her?"

Appearing as a panel member on Sunday's Melissa Harris-Perry show, comedienne Margaret Cho wondered why some women are Republicans as she asserted that the GOP is "a party that's so against our rights, our reproductive rights, so many rights in so many ways."
Cho also complained that Sarah Palin tries to "beat feminism down," claiming that "Sarah Palin wouldn't exist without feminism."
After host Melissa Harris-Perry recounted a GOP drive to appeal to women, Cho wondered:

Eight days after making a fool of himself on Jeopardy!, MSNBC's Chris Matthews was back to impugning the intellectual capacity of Sarah Palin.
After playing a clip of the former Alaska governor discussing why she wanted John McCain to focus on Barack Obama’s connection to the America-hating Reverend Jeremiah Wright in the 2008 campaign, Matthews mocked Tuesday, “I think her briefing papers have the weight of a comic book” (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

Yes, the same gaffe for which liberals mocked Sarah Palin back in 2008.
This time when it was made, on Ed Schultz's radio show, Schultz dutifully let it pass without mockery. (audio clip after page break)

When it comes to his memory of the 2008 presidential campaign, Ed Schultz is either dishonest or ignorant, though he might well be both.
On his radio show Thursday, Schultz made a claim that was demonstrably false -- and refuted by the source he cited to bolster it, the HBO docudrama "Game Change." (video, audio clips after page break)

Vulgar comedian Bill Maher took another cheap shot at Bristol Palin Friday evening.
In an opening monologue segment of HBO's Real Time dealing with the President's flipflop on same-sex marriage, the host said, "Bristol Palin accused Obama of pandering to teenagers who watched one too many episodes of Glee – says the girl who got knocked up after watching one too many episodes of Teen Mom" (video follows with transcript and commentary):
