Every once in a while Larry Wilmore’s The Nightly Show will break up the yawn fest and feature guests who say ridiculous things, and we get to laugh at them for it.

On Tuesday night, Wilmore’s roundtable discussion involved bashing Fox News for reporting that police officers in Baltimore had cited the community's hostility towards them has stopped them from being able to do their job, as the reason for increased crime in the city. On the panel was Huffington Post’s Marc Lamont Hill, comedian Godfrey, and Ebony senior digital editor Jamilah Lemieux.

In the wake of the sexual abuse controversy surrounding the Duggar family, CNN Tonight host Don Lemon brought on CNN political commentators Mark Lamont Hill and Ben Ferguson to discuss the family’s previously close relationship with the Republican Party. While Hill and Ferguson agreed that the GOP must distance themselves from the Duggars, things got heated when Ferguson said that the family should be held to a higher standard.

Presbyterians chanting “Death to America!” Methodists beheading people on video, and those hateful Episcopalian fundamentalists stoning women to death for being raped. The world is clearly in the grip of a Christian terror crisis. Well, no. But Marc Lamont Hill would have CNN viewers believe Christians are as terror-prone as Islamists.

A CNN panel with host Don Lemon, CNN conservative commentator Ben Ferguson, and Lamont Hill argued about over the recent shootings in Texas by Islamic radicals over a “draw Mohammed” cartoon contest.

Late Wednesday on CNN Tonight, CNN commentator Marc Lamont Hill verbally attacked police officers once again as he decried the notion that there are only a few “bad apples” in law enforcement and that the police instead serve as “an occupying force in the hood.” Two nights earlier he hailed the violence on the streets of Baltimore as “uprisings” against “police terrorism” instead of riots.

The Baltimore riots surrounding the death of Freddie Gray became a moment for liberal reporters and commentators to take the blame off those who destroyed cars, looted businesses, burned a church senior center and hurled objects at police officers.

During CNN’s live coverage on Monday night of the Baltimore riots, CNN commentator Marc Lamont Hill urged viewers to view what was taking place as “not a riot” but “uprisings” in response to African-Americans “dying in the streets for months, years, decades, centuries” due to “police terrorism.” When brought into the discussion by CNN Tonight host Don Lemon, Hill declared that “there shouldn’t be calm tonight” in Baltimore since there’s been “black people...dying in the streets for months, years, decades, centuries.”

On Tuesday's CNN Tonight, Perez Hilton compared former Vice President Dick Cheney to the extremist group masquerading as a place of worship, Westboro Baptist Church. Host Don Lemon interrupted a fight between conservative Ben Ferguson and liberal Marc Lamont Hill over Dick Cheney's "race card" comments about President Obama, and turned to the celebrity gossip blogger for his take on the issue. Hilton replied, "To me, Dick Cheney is like the Westboro Baptist Church. I'd rather not talk about him."

Chuck Todd, NBC News Political Director and moderator of Meet the Press, sat down with Marc Lamont Hill of HuffPost Live to promote his book “The Stranger: Barack Obama in the White House” and made some interesting remarks about cable news. Speaking on Tuesday, November 18, Todd argued that “Roger Ailes’ political past… sort of makes it, because he actually worked as an operative, it [Fox News] always feels a little more campaign-y than, but I think certainly you know, than what gets accused on the MSNBC side of things.”

Marc Lamont Hill, liberal CNN contributor and host of HuffPost Live, appeared on Sunday’s State of the Union with Candy Crowley and did his best to smear former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta for daring to criticize President Obama on foreign policy. Appearing alongside Neera Tanden, Newt Gingrich and S.E. Cupp, Hill proclaimed that Panetta’s criticism of Obama was “the most disgusting example of Monday morning quarterbacking I have ever seen.”

Left-wing academic Marc Lamont Hill blasted atheists Bill Maher and Sam Harris on Monday's CNN Tonight for their blunt views about the Islamic faith: "When he [actor Sam Harris] says that Islam is the mother lode of bad ideas, that is horrific; it is offensive; and, as Ben [Affleck] said...quite frankly, it's racist." Hill contended that "Islam is not uniquely violent or primarily violent or any more prone to violence than any other religion."

Muslim author and religious “scholar” Reza Aslan has developed quite the reputation for making inflammatory statements about Christianity. This time, in an interview with HuffPost Live, Aslan claimed in no uncertain terms that Jesus Christ was a Marxist.

Following the death of Michael Brown and the ensuing protests in Ferguson, Missouri, one topic of conversation that has drawn a lot of attention is whether or not Al Sharpton can serve as both an activist and be the host of a daily MSNBC program.

Appearing on CNN’s Reliable Sources, Marc Lamont Hill, CNN contributor and HuffPost Live host, defended Sharpton’s dual roles and argued that “Al Sharpton is no different than Sean Hannity. He's no different than Glenn Beck was. He's no different than many pundits who had TV shows.” [See video below.]
