CBS This Morning co-host Gayle King appeared on Comedy Central’s Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore on Monday and rushed to President Obama’s defense after he used the n-word during a podcast with comedian Marc Maron while discussing the history of racism in America.

In the aftermath of the shootings in Charleston, South Carolina, Comedy Central’s Larry Wilmore ripped Fox News for its coverage regarding the motivations of the shooter, Dylann Roof. The Nightly Show host played clip after clip of hosts and guests on Fox News promoting the idea that the shooting could have been a religiously motivated attack.

On Monday’s Nightly Show, Comedy Central’s Larry Wilmore took time out of his race-obsessed show to return to his favorite hobby, bashing Republicans, specifically the 2016 GOP presidential candidates who are engaged in the “unblackening” of America.

During an appearance on Comedy Central’s The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore on Monday, CNN’s Christiane Amanpour joked “we defeat ISIS” when asked: “What happens first: we defeat ISIS or Brian Williams anchoring again?”

Since his Comedy Central show began back in January, Larry Wilmore has followed the heavily-trod path of his former boss, The Daily Show's Jon Stewart -- he directs 95 percent of his snark at conservatives, the remaining sliver at fellow liberals.
Seeing how Wilmore is so selective in his ridicule toward the left, the outrage in question must be indisputably egregious to draw his fire. Mark Halperin's are-you-truly-Cuban? cross examination of GOP Senator Ted Cruz easily meets that standard.

On Wednesday night, Comedy Central host Larry Wilmore went to great lengths to promote the idea that calling rioters in Baltimore thugs was just a socially acceptable way of using the “n-word.” The Nightly Show comedian began is commentary by playing several edited clips of different people referring to the Baltimore rioters as thugs, including President Obama, which Wilmore took great offense to.

In his first three months as host of the Nightly Show, Comedy Central’s Larry Wilmore has seen his audience down nearly 40% compared to the Colbert Report which occupied the same 11:30 p.m. time slot.
In an interview with Comedy Central's Nightly Show host Larry Wilmore on Friday's CBS This Morning, co-host Gayle King wondered if the controversy swirling around newly-named Daily Show host Trevor Noah was racially motivated: "So keep it a hundred about Trevor Noah....do you think this would have happened if he was white?...Because first he's, you know, 'Trevor Noah, Trevor Noah,' and then there's this controversy about his tweets."

Larry Wilmore and Trevor Noah are first-rate comedians, but beyond that, argues Klein, Comedy Central’s choice of two black hosts to succeed Stephen Colbert and (eventually) Jon Stewart was an extremely smart business move.
Noah and Wilmore have a “particular skill for limning America's complicated, and often infuriating, racial politics,” writes Klein, “and their takeover is a recognition of one of the lessons of Obama's presidency: American politics isn't moving past race. It's moving into it. And so, too, is the news business…[I]n the Obama years, attitudes toward politics have begun driving attitudes toward race. The result is that racial controversies are a bigger part of American politics right now than they were before Obama's election.”
While on Thursday’s edition of The Nightly Show on Comedy Central, former Labor Secretary Robert Reich expressed concern that the media has been covering the terrorist group ISIS too heavily and in turn has been causing the group’s ranks to swell. After being asked by host Larry Wilmore to explain why “all these westerners [are] joining ISIS,” Reich dismissed that premise by declaring that “there are not that many trying to join ISIS” considering: “Out of 600 million Europeans and Americans you’ve got, what, 400, 800 trying to join ISIS? This is not a big deal.”

Tolerance is only expected from the left, never given. That was never more evident than on The Nightly Show March 24 where Ted Cruz and evangelicals were mocked for their faith.
Host Larry Wilmore brought on liberal comedian Lewis Black, Actor and former member of the Obama Administration Kal Penn, pollster Kristen Soltis Anderson, and anchor for The Blaze TV, Amy Holmes, to discuss Ted Cruz’s run for President. The discussion began with Black blasting Cruz as a relic of the segregated past.

On Tuesday night, Comedy Central host Larry Wilmore viciously attacked Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) and deemed his 2016 presidential campaign "'Backlash 2016: The unblackening' begins tonight. It is time for America to say f*** you to the notion that once you go black you never go back." The Nightly Show host opened his broadcast by shamelessly proclaiming "we ask the question can a foreign-born half-white man be our next president. The answer according to one woman, hell no! Ted Cruz went to Harvard, just like Unabomber Ted Kaczynski."
