Michael Tomasky of the Daily Beast is prone to wild overstatement. For example, after the last elections, he counseled the Democrats to just avoid the Southern states after Sen. Mary Landrieu lost. It was "just one big nuclear waste site of choleric, and extremely racialized, resentment....Forget about the whole fetid place. Write it off.”

That same wild overstatement came in this new Daily Beast headline: “The Clintons Still Aren’t Corrupt.” The website pulled out this wisecrack for a text box: “I know the fact that she walks freely among us suggests to many people that she and Bill are so brilliantly devious that they always knew exactly how to get away with it.”

How bad are things getting for Hillary when a defender is reduced to arguing, in response to the Clinton Cash allegations, that Bill might have been a dishonest bag man, not letting Hillary know that people were giving him money in an attempt to influence her?!

On today's Morning Joe, responding to the Clinton Cash revelations, MSNBC contributor Dorian Warren said that Bill Clinton "could have been running serious game on many of these countries saying I'll talk to my wife, give me the check, and then never mentioning [it.]"

After briefly alluding to the Clinton Foundation scandal on Monday’s CBS This Morning, the CBS Evening News made no mention of the scandal or a damning new book on the subject from author Peter Schweizer on its Monday evening broadcast. Both ABC’s World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News did cover the story as well as Hillary Clinton’s response Monday afternoon in New Hampshire, but also parroted Clinton campaign talking points in responding to Schweizer’s allegations.

It’s a little amazing how journalists will swoon over the Clintons’ remarkable ability to survive in politics, failing to recognize that they survive with a huge scoop of assistance from mouth-breathing reporters who love them.

This New York Times headline caught my eye on Twitter on Wednesday: “You Don’t Have to Tell a Clinton Twice.” Jonathan Martin explained that when Gov. Bill Clinton lost his re-election bid in 1980, he told the voters in Arkansas “My daddy never had to whip me twice.” So how does that match Clinton's decades of adultery and sex harassment charges?

In the first network newscasts since Hillary Clinton officially announced her presidential campaign, on Sunday night ABC and NBC cheered Clinton’s announcement and gushed over her campaign video as well as the traffic it received on Twitter. In addition, the networks refused to label her a liberal. “The campaign kicked off with this video sent out on social media. Twitter lighting up the announcement. Check this out. Retweeted 3 million times the first hour, trending number one across the globe.”

With Hillary Clinton set to officially announce her presidential campaign on Sunday, Saturday Night Live used the occasion to poke fun at her campaign, with a cameo from former President Bill Clinton, played by SNL alum Darrell Hammond.

For the second straight news cycle, ABC News failed to mention any of Hillary Clinton’s scandals on Friday night as she’s expected to announce her second presidential campaign on Sunday as World News Tonight instead gushed over a new epilogue to her latest book and Chelsea Clinton’s appearance on the May issue of Elle magazine.

In the midst of discussing Kate Andersen Brower's new book The Residence -- a behind-the-scenes look at the White House told from the perspectives for domestic staff there -- Hardball host Chris Matthews sought to innocently explain away an account in the book where first daughter Chelsea Clinton referred to Secret Service agents as "pigs."

On Wednesday, NBC’s Today offered up yet another puff piece on the Clintons as Andrea Mitchell touted Bill Clinton's new role as a "backstage advisor" for Hillary's 2016 presidential campaign. She beamed at how “[n]ever known to shy away from a campaign, Bill Clinton now vowing to step back when his wife runs in 2016, telling Town and Country magazine, ‘My role should primarily be as a backstage adviser to her until we get much, much closer to the election.’”

The Clinton Foundation scandals have gone largely ignored by the three broadcast networks in 2015, as the swirling controversies have garnered a total of 11 minutes and 13 seconds of airtime on their evening and morning news shows. And the Spanish-language newscasts on Univision and Telemundo have completely ignored the Clinton Foundation 2015 controversies.

In a contrast of how two network late night comedy hosts addressed the Hillary Clinton email scandal on Monday, CBS’s David Letterman whined about the attention and effort being devoted and given to the scandal while NBC’s Jimmy Fallon took to mocking Clinton’s long-winded, confusing responses during her press conference as to why she used just one account and one phone.

Charlie Rose, on his PBS show, couldn’t resist asking actor Kevin Spacey about his “bromance” with former President Bill Clinton. The star of House of Cards -- whom CNN recently hired for their documentary on the 2016 presidential candidates -- revealed how tight he is with the ex-president. Spacey: "I was a true friend. And never doubted him, never stopped believing in him. Thought he was an extraordinary man.”
