MSNBC's Thomas Roberts surprisingly pursued Hillary Clinton spokeswoman Karen Finney on his Wednesday program over the ongoing controversy surrounding the undercover videos of Planned Parenthood officials discussing the sale of the organs of aborted babies. When Finney admitted that Mrs. Clinton had only seen clips of the videos, Roberts wondered, "Why not see the videos?" He later underlined that "not having seen, in full context, what the videos represent...makes a vulnerability for those people that are out there trying to defend it."

At two separate points on Friday's The Rundown on MSNBC, Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd, NBC's Chris Jansing and fill-in host Thomas Roberts bemoaned the lack of gun control during the Obama administration and especially after Newtown. Todd called on “responsible leaders” to put “everything on the table” to consider whether or not incidents such as the one in Lafayette Thursday night are part of “an epidemic” because “[i]t feels like one.”

On Wednesday afternoon, MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell slammed neoconservatives who voiced their opposition to President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran. A Cuban cancer treatment is coming to the United States and all MSNBC's Thomas Roberts could worry about is if America will "ruin" the drug. On Tuesday, Roberts hyped the possibilities of Cimavax, which fights lung cancer. Talking to Dr. Kelvin Lee of the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Roberts fretted, "...The Cubans have created a drug that costs the government about a dollar per shot, which is unheard of in the cancer treatment. Will the American market ruin it?"
