Jonathan Alter: When Will Liberals Call for More Boycotts of 'Racist' Rush Limbaugh?

Former Newsweek editor Jonathan Alter appeared on The Ed Show, Tuesday, to lobby for more boycotts of the "racist" Rush Limbaugh. The radio host's crime, according to the writer, is making a few joking comments about the shoe-throwing incident involving Hillary Clinton. On his show, Limbaugh mused, "I can totally relate to people who think that everything the Clintons do is staged...I just don't attach much genuineness to them."  

Limbaugh allowed, "Maybe it's because in my subconscious, I think it was staged." Alter railed against Limbaugh, assailing, "When do more boycotts of Rush Limbaugh's sponsors come? You know, there's been some racist garbage over the years. He's been racist on any number of occasions. " Alter lamented that there has only been " a little bit of a boycott" over past incidents. MSNBC's Schultz Explains Why GOPers 'Dislike' the Poor, 'Have No Use for Them'

On the Friday, April 11, The Ed Show, MSNBC's Ed Schultz gave a political hack-style answer to a viewer question about why Republicans allegedly "dislike the poor so much" as he asserted that the poor are "useless" to conservatives because Republicans are "all about power."

Ignoring the millions of poor people who do, in fact, vote for the GOP in each election cycle, helping many Republicans get elected, the MSNBC host proclaimed:

Democrats Complain MSNBC Has 'Double Standard' on Hosts Speaking at Fundraisers

The Democratic National Committee has accused the MSNBC cable channel of having "a pretty big double standard" regarding its “confusing policy” of forbidding some anchors from attending political fundraising events while others are allowed to speak at similar programs, according to a letter written to Phil Griffin, president of the liberal television network.

Mo Elleithee, the DNC's communications director, indicated that channel executives prevented Ed Schultz -- host of the weekday afternoon program The Ed Show – from appearing at a Democratic Unity Dinner in Broward County, Fla., on March 15, while Joe Scarborough, a co-host of the weekday Morning Joe program, is slated to give the keynote address at next month's Cheshire County Republican Lincoln Day Dinner in New Hampshire.

It was nearly three years ago that libtalker Ed Schultz demeaned conservative radio host Laura Ingraham as a "talk slut" and "right wing slut" after she had the gall to criticize President Obama during his May 2011 trip to Ireland. Even though Schultz's outburst came on his radio show, he was suspended from his MSNBC program for a week, allegedly at his behest, though the claim is dubious as I wrote at the time.

On her radio show Monday, Ingraham was the first to broadcast an incendiary clip of Schultz arguing with a caller, disparaging him as an "a**hole" and bellowing at him to "get the f*** out of here!" (Audio clips after the jump)

The Koch -- pronounced "Koke" -- brothers, David and Charles (though not sibling Bill, for the time being) serve a comparably stimulative role for liberals in 2014, another election year with seismic potential.

In recent weeks, self-proclaimed working-class hero Ed Schultz has shown he can barely pass a waking hour without vilifying the cursed Kochs. LOL: Ed Schultz Claims the 'Mainstream Media' Isn't Being 'Fair' to ObamaCare

On his Monday show, MSNBC's Ed Schultz ripped the "mainstream media" for – wait for it – not being fair enough to ObamaCare. Of course, the only examples of "media bias" that Schultz displayed were from conservative guests and pundits.

Apparently, the press has discounted all the positives of ObamaCare. "If you had been in a time capsule for the last five years and just happened to wake up yesterday morning, you would have thought that health care in America had failed," Schultz insisted.

One of the most frequent laments from liberals is that the decline of unions has hurt American workers and our economy. And among the reasons that unions are in decline are dubious claims by liberals about them.

Less than three months into 2014 and leftist loose-cannon Ed Schultz may have already provided the year's best example of projection in media. It's too much to expect Schultz to comprehend that criticism he directs at Republicans applies more accurately to himself.

On his radio show Monday, Schultz lashed out at Republicans for daring to second-guess President Obama for his handling of the crisis in Ukraine, even though Schultz never hesitated to condemn Obama's predecessor as commander in chief on a daily basis while we were fighting wars in two countries. Ed Schultz: Funding Charter Schools 'Breeds and Feeds the Next Generation of Segregation'

MSNBC's Ed Schultz on Wednesday slammed charter schools in America, sneering that funding them "breeds and feeds the next generation of segregation in America." [See video below. MP3 audio here.] The Ed Show host talked to fellow liberal Michael Eric Dyson who complained about public schools having to compete against charter schools. 

He insisted, "If you would supply money to these public schools, then they could do equally as well." Of course, public schools in Washington D.C., for instance, spend almost $30,000 per student. 

Ed Schultz Finally Apologizes for His Bogus ObamaCare Prediction, Lashes Out at Wash Post

Liberal anchor Ed Schultz on Monday finally admitted that his Obamacare prediction from last December was wrong. On December 11, 2013, the Ed Show host prognosticated, "[ObamaCare enrollment is] going to hit five million by March 1st...Five million people signed up by March 1st. Get your tapes rolling at home folks 'cause it's going to be a big 'I told you so.'" 

On Monday, he conceded, "You know, I've got to apologize...I said some months ago that it was going to be five million people by March 1 and the Washington Post really took issue with that and I apologize tonight." It was the Post's Erik Wemple who first noted the failed prediction and the attempts to cover up the botched claim. The anchor then lashed out at the paper. [See video below. MP3 audio here.]
