Imagine the excitement of the mainstream media if they had discovered that some preacher up in Alaska had declared Sarah Palin to be like a deity? Well, the same basic thing happened when the Supreme Minister of the Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan, declared Barack Obama to be a messiah as you can see in this video. I believe this messianic pronouncement by Farrakhan was made last February but the video was uploaded to YouTube just yesterday. Better save this video before it gets scrubbed by the Thought Police. I don't know which is creepier, the pronouncement of Obama as messiah by Farrakhan or that strange cultish smile on his face. Here is the transcript of Farrakhan's annunciation of the Messiah of the Chicago Machine:
Story Continues Below Ad ↓You are the instruments that God is gonna use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth. And he has involved young people in a political process that they didn’t care anything about. That’s a sign. When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking.
The strange thing here is that Farrakhan is announcing just what much of the media has been promoting; the idea of Barack Obama as some supernatural spiritual leader. As chronicled here in NewsBusters several months ago, photos of Obama with a glowing halo behind him began to pop up. And then there was Mark Morford, a San Francisco columnist and Zen Master (New Age way of staring at your own navel), who declared Obama to be a Lightworker:
Barack Obama isn't really one of us. Not in the normal way, anyway.
This is what I find myself offering up more and more in response to the whiners and the frowners and to those with broken or sadly dysfunctional karmic antennae - or no antennae at all - to all those who just don't understand and maybe even actively recoil against all this chatter about Obama's aura and feel and MLK/JFK-like vibe.
To them I say, all right, you want to know what it is? The appeal, the pull, the ethereal and magical thing that seems to enthrall millions of people from all over the world, that keeps opening up and firing into new channels of the culture normally completely unaffected by politics?
No, it's not merely his youthful vigor, or handsomeness, or even inspiring rhetoric. It is not fresh ideas or cool charisma or the fact that a black president will be historic and revolutionary in about a thousand different ways. It is something more. Even Bill Clinton, with all his effortless, winking charm, didn't have what Obama has, which is a sort of powerful luminosity, a unique high-vibration integrity.
Dismiss it all you like, but I've heard from far too many enormously smart, wise, spiritually attuned people who've been intuitively blown away by Obama's presence - not speeches, not policies, but sheer presence - to say it's just a clever marketing ploy, a slick gambit carefully orchestrated by hotshot campaign organizers who, once Obama gets into office, will suddenly turn from perky optimists to vile soul-sucking lobbyist whores, with Obama as their suddenly evil, cackling overlord.
Here's where it gets gooey. Many spiritually advanced people I know (not coweringly religious, mind you, but deeply spiritual) identify Obama as a Lightworker, that rare kind of attuned being who has the ability to lead us not merely to new foreign policies or health care plans or whatnot, but who can actually help usher in a new way of being on the planet, of relating and connecting and engaging with this bizarre earthly experiment. These kinds of people actually help us evolve. They are philosophers and peacemakers of a very high order, and they speak not just to reason or emotion, but to the soul.
So with media nutcases like Mark Morford declaring Obama to be a "Lightworker," should we be surprised that the MSM won't find anything unusual in Farrakhan's pronouncement of Obama as the Messiah?

McCain’s campaign plane is better than Obama’s, which is “cramped,
uncomfortable and smells terrible most of the time,” Reynolds
disclosed. “Somehow the McCain folks manage to keep their charter
clean, even where the press is seated.”
Wonder what would happen to the White house??

Very true.
October 9, 2008 - 15:35 ET by Mike BrattonOne way to identify those of us who, by God's good graces, fall under the heading of the "very elect" is the immunity from Obama's "high-vibration" cult-of-personality nonsense.
Another is the refusal to seriously identify him as "the Messiah."
Or a "Lightworker."
We are, however, able to identify Obama as "the Empty Suit." And we're not surprised that the Nation of Islam might soon turn into the Nation of Obama.

Obama TV buy
October 9, 2008 - 15:28 ET by tropicalreportMaybe Obama will dedicate his 30 min network TV buy on October 29 to a "variety" hour with Reverend Wright, Louis Farrakhan, and "friends". Now that would get a rating number. Wait! Obama is buying network time -- does he realize that he has been getting free time for the past 2 years?

Years ago, my (under-educated) sister called me to rave about this great person she'd recently heard: Louis Farrakhan. With extreme self-control, I drew out from her what was so compelling about this person.
"He's going to give us back the country!"
"And what are you going to do with the country?" She wasn't sure, but she sure did like the prospect.
I'm praying that her soap operas keep her occupied all day on election day.

Comfort
October 10, 2008 - 18:45 ET by TheAssessorIt's no comfort to know all these people support 'that one'? They'll be lining up for the Lincoln bedroom like a one hole mens room on beer night. The know nothing, do nothing media is more aptly named Murder Ink. Again today I spoke to a couple people I work with about that one speaking to Iraq about the troops and they said in frustration, "How come we don't hear about this??!!" I wouldn't underestimate the angry Americans. If McCain doesn't channel this anger toward getting elected it will take on a life of it's own just as sure as the tide comes in. THEN try to calm it down. Almost any poster on NB could think of a better way for him to run a campaign than this. If a hero like McCain won't stick up for us.. and I mean *right out loud* .. no cutsey inuendos.. then hard working patriotic Americans are going to stick up for themselves and that will 'not' be pretty. If you can't get it up for us John, get out of the way. This is a freakin' tragedy for America, and btw who IS America? It's me, and you and everyone of us who believes in simply doing the right thing, just because it's the right thing to do.

Southern Comfort and
October 11, 2008 - 13:30 ET by kathy5319Southern Comfort and Convenient Christians,
The Farrakhan video was played on Fox last night. Bill O'Reilly semi-apologetically stated, as here "I don't think Obama is going to like this... but" I knew that Bill knew it was his duty to present the Farrakhan clip -- not meaning to scare anyone (really)
Reading Assesor's post - I have restored faith that I don't underestimate the power of rallying up the troops... be they decent German citizens or Angry Americans or People with Guns who believe in State's Rights (and Jesus, too). But what/who is the target of this rant... that Farrakhan praises Obama? Obama? Arabs? hmmm... Blacks? Oh I didn't mean that. (I mean really).
Some here might give pause or thanks that the good folks over at Stormfront also "see" that Farrakhan and his love of Obama is loaded with mileage for the brotherhood. They also love guns and Jesus and States's rights. (Most are for McCain - Where's the outrage?)
I am very thankful that McCain has publicly stated his distaste for where this is going (the swiftboat steamrolling into the darkness of the baser fears of men). But I fear it's too late or too 'wimpy' for some.
It's so very ironic that Sarah Palin in speaking of the Holocaust reaffirmed "Never Again" while invoking its mystery and inciting its holy ghosts.
I thank McCain for the following:
"No, ma'am. No, ma'am," McCain said. "He's a decent family man, a citizen who I just happen to have serious differences with on fundamental questions."
And the media was all over it, with praise and kudos.
