To start of his first week in office, Donald Trump spent the morning signing executive orders, one of which was reversing a pro-abortion policy from the Obama Administration. The “Mexico City” policy, more commonly called the “Global Gag” policy by the left, bans federal funds from being given to organizations who pay for or promote abortions overseas. It was originally enacted by Ronald Reagan in 1984 and was rescinded in 2009 by President Obama. Now eight years later, President Trump has reinstated the policy, and some liberal journalists’ displeasure with the news came across in their reporting and their tweets.

Friday morning through early afternoon, anti-Trump and anarchist rioters calling themselves #DisruptJ20 took to the streets of Washington D.C. to protest Trump’s inauguration. Their protest took several forms, from blocking entrances and freeways, to violence in the forms of vandalism, destruction and throwing concrete at police officers. While many in the media expressed dismay at the violence, some still justified the violence as a legitimate form of protest, including one Washington Post reporter.

After standing by their discredited story on Rick Perry, the journalists at the most (arguably) liberal paper in the country again showed their arrogance by claiming the country and world, would be begging for Obama to come back. In an article from Thursday’s New York Times, opinion writer Nicholas Kristof predicted that “America and the world will soon be craving that Obama Cool again.”

On the morning of Donald Trump’s inauguration, ABC spent a few minutes legitimizing the 60+ Democrats boycotting Trump as a sign of a “divided nation.” Contrast that with eight years ago, when the networks were giddy and gushing about how great Obama’s presidency was for the country.

On the morning of Barack Obama’s first inauguration in 2009, ABC’s Good Morning America team called it, “A new dawn...fueled by hope and the shared dreams of a renewed America.” But on the morning of Donald Trump’s inauguration, ABC didn’t have the same rosy outlook. Instead of the utopia they predicted would happen under Obama, today ABC claimed the country was going back to the Civil War era.

On CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 Wednesday, panelist Van Jones claimed that Trump didn’t deserve Obama’s “silence” after he leaves office, because Trump was going to undo every good thing Obama did as President. “Obama came in to fix things that W. broke. Trump is coming in to break things that Obama fixed,” Jones asserted.

Wednesday night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, HBO liberal talkshow host Bill Maher came on the show to bash conservatives and call on the media to hold Trump accountable. Without any sense of irony, Maher lectured Kimmel on the need for hosts like him to hold Trump’s “feet to the fire” as if the media gives Trump the adoring Obama treatment. Maher then told Kimmel that the media can’t treat the right the same as the left after this election because one side had gone to “crazytown.”

On Wednesday’s The View, co-host Joy Behar had a meltdown about America’s “democracy” being under threat because there was no longer any “checks and balances” for Donald Trump as President since Republicans were in the majority in both houses of Congress. Behar called the situation “sad and upsetting,” apparently not realizing this type of scenario has happened dozens of times before.

CNN’s Jake Tapper was Seth Meyers’ guest on Monday night’s Late Night, where he talked about Trump’s relationship with the press. More specifically, last week’s press conference, where Trump refused to call on CNN reporter Jim Acosta, calling his outlet “fake news.” Meyers tried to get Tapper to hype up the incident as unique to Trump’s (near) presidency, but Tapper explained that Obama has done the exact same thing.

On Monday’s Good Morning America, ABC used the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday to lecture Trump on his need to improve his “long and fractured” relationship with the black community. It began when Democratic Congressman John Lewis called Trump’s election win “illegitimate” last week and said he would not be attending the inauguration. When Trump fired back on Twitter, the media blew a fuse at Trump for daring to criticize the “civil rights icon.”

Friday’s special guest on ABC’s The View was Vice President Joe Biden. Like ABC does with every Democrat guest, instead of asking critical questions, the panel split half their commentary into praising Biden and the other half into baiting him to slam Republicans. Host Joy Behar was the most frequent instigator though fellow host Whoopi Goldberg tried three times to get Biden to agree that Trump and Pence were not ready to “empathize” with the American people.

Wednesday’s Good Morning America had anchor George Stephanopoulos struggling to regain control of the interview after Trump’s senior advisor Kellyanne Conway called the media out for for their pro-Clinton bias. After repeated attempts to get Conway to answer whether or not Trump accepted that Russia hacked the election, Conway hit back, accusing the media of being the ones who tried to sway the results of the election for Hillary.
