In a shocker, New York Times TV critic Alessandra Stanley panned "The View" and new "conservative" co-host Nicolle Wallace.

Stanley found she missed Elisabeth Hasselbeck – “opinionated, emotional, and easily drawn into ideological spats – and dismissed Nicolle Wallace, who “didn’t say a word when Ms. Perez joked about Mitt Romney having a vagina.”

In addition to 9/11 Truther Rosie O'Donnell, two other hosts debuted on The View, Monday. Moderate Republican Nicolle Wallace and liberal actress Rosie Perez. Wallace famously worked for – and then publicly trashed – Sarah Palin. Perez quizzed, "One, what was it like when you first met her? Two, did the winking get on your nerves? And three, when did you just want to just pop her?" 

After reiterating her support for 9/11 conspiracy theories over the weekend, Rosie O'Donnell insisted she could work with a possible new co-host, despite ties to George W. Bush. Many 9/11 truthers smear the ex-president as having either orchestrated, or failed to stop, the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks. 

When asked if she could be civil with Nicolle Wallace, the former communications chief for Bush and a rumored new co-host, O'Donnell responded via Twitter, "i enjoy nicole - am reading her book right now - and i do not know who is to blame [for 9/11]." [See screen shots of tweets below.] The liberal host also offered her opinion on whether the moon landing was a hoax. 

There was a real dust-up on today's Morning Joe over Benghazi and the House select committee empanelled to investigate it.  In the move-on-nothing-to-see corner were Chuck Todd and Donny Deutsch.  Opposing them was Nicolle Wallace, who made an impassioned case that the Obama admin's cover-up of the talking points that the White House furnished to Susan Rice, falsely blaming the attack on an internet video, merits anger and investigation.

As MRC's Jeffrey Meyer has noted, Todd has been on a tear trying to downplay Benghazi and disparage the select committee.  But in his determination to defend all things Obama, Todd today ran badly afoul of the facts.  He claimed that the false talking points weren't worth caring about since the Obama admin stopped citing the internet video within "two days." Could Todd truly have forgotten that two weeks later, in a formal address at the United Nations, President Obama was still talking about that infernal video?  View the video after the jump.

The co-hosts of The View brought on Republican strategist Nicolle Wallace, Thursday, to give the Republican view on politics. But instead of offering the loyal opposition, the former top aide to John McCain gushed over the Clintons. 

Asked by Jenny McCarthy if Bill Clinton's personal problems will be an issue in 2016, Wallace blurted, "No. That's baked in the cake. I mean, to know Bill is to love Bill, whether you're a Democrat or a Republican." [See video below. MP3 audio here.]
