Following a Hillary Clinton campaign rally on Saturday that featured singer Katy Perry and former President Bill Clinton, NBC and ABC were beside themselves in gushing over the event. On Saturday’s NBC Nightly News, correspondent Kelly O’Donnell proclaimed: “Hillary Clinton's team is going all in on star power....husband Bill Clinton's first campaign stop here in Iowa....superstar hit maker [Katy Perry], whose song is Clinton’s campaign theme.... After a tough slide this summer, Clinton has hit a high note.”

Gayle King expressed her astonishment on Tuesday's CBS This Morning that two Catholic sisters were unmoved by Katy Perry, after the hyper-sexualized pop singer sang to them in an attempt to get them to sell their property in Los Angeles to her: "I was surprised to hear they met her, and still weren't impressed, because – you know, she's a doll! She's a really, really nice, nice girl."

On Monday’s NBC Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie described “a bizarre legal fight in California” that “pits a group of nuns against their own archdiocese and music superstar Katy Perry...over who gets to buy a former convent.”

“When a man stops believing in God he doesn’t then believe in nothing, he believes anything.” – G.K. Chesterton

Katy Perry not only knows how to sing about fireworks, but also how to create them – with crystals.

Comedian Chelsea Handler interviewed pop icon Katy Perry for Cosmopolitan’s July issue. When their conversation turned to frequency of sex, Perry revealed, “I carry a lot of rose quartz” to attract men. The 29-year-old Perry appeared on Cosmo’s cover in addition to the article.

If you were bestowed the honor to perform at a presidential inauguration, wouldn't you want your parents in attendance regardless of their political beliefs?

Pop diva Katy Perry doesn't think so, for she told Marie Claire in an interview published Monday that because her parents are Republicans that didn't vote for Barack Obama, they couldn't watch her perform at his inauguration in January:

Either a deranged fan or a kid with a very bad sense of humor sent a tweet to Katy Perry Saturday that included a picture of him pointing a gun at a little girl with the text, “If you can't babysit me, say bye to my little sister!”

This occurred hours after the popstar appeared on NBC's Tonight Show discussing the crazy tweets she receives.

On Nov. 28, 2012, Forbes released a report on the 25 highest paid musicians of the year. Ironically enough, four of this year’s top earners were outspoken supporters of the Occupy Wall Street Movement last year. Apparently they didn’t see hypocrisy of being a top earner in an industry while speaking out against other top earners.

As NewsBusters reported, Barack Obama spoke at a Hollywood fundraiser Sunday after a number of top musical acts entertained his supporters at the Nokia Theater.

Pop diva Katy Perry was one of the performers, and she was so excited to be singing for the President that she had a special manicure done for the occasion which she sent a picture of to her followers on Twitter:

In the latest marriage-disdaining cover story in the Sunday newspaper supplement Parade Magazine, pop star Katy Perry wore a glittery Uncle Sam hat and blue blouse over the words “Yankee Doodle Katy: Katy Perry Celebrates Her Independence.” They're touting independence, as in her divorce from tawdry British actor/comedian Russell Brand after a whole 14 months of marriage. Apparently, he's the British autocrat in this analogy.

Somehow, Parade lunged to associate pride in America with gay rights and Barack Obama:

Some on the left have noted a disturbing trend – despite their best efforts, people keep seeing the U.S. military as admirable. When Seal Team 6 killed Osama Bin Laden on the orders of a liberal Democrat commander in chief, lefties had to endure the nation’s celebration of the special ops warriors. Then “Act of Valor” his theaters last month, and a variety of liberal outlets branded the heroic film as propaganda.

And now singer Katy Perry – who, as an entertainer, should know better – has made a video celebrating the training and commitment of U.S. Marines.
