According to liberal actor and anti-vaccine activist Jim Carrey, mandating vaccines for children in order to prevent deadly infectious diseases is fascism.

In a June 30 twitter tirade, Carrey attacked California Gov. Jerry Brown as a “corporate fascist” for signing SB--277 into law. The bill will eliminate individual religious vaccine exemptions. The recent Disneyland Measles outbreak provided some of the momentum for the bill, but it still faced strong opposition from anti-vaccination alarmists who claim they are dangerous to children and can cause autism.

During the red carpet show leading up to the 40th anniversary special of NBC’s Saturday Night Live, actor Jim Carrey ended his interview with Today co-hosts Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie on a rather awkward note by suddenly asking them where NBC is “hiding” suspended NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams. Carrey interjected with: “Can I ask you guys a question? Where are you hiding Brian Williams? Where is he?”

Saturday, Dec. 14 marks a year since the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. In the run-up to that tragic anniversary, Americans can expect to hear demands for gun control from sanctimonious Hollywood stars, just as they did in the wake of the shooting.

Their demands were hypocritical then, and they’re even more hypocritical now. The entertainment industry makes huge profits depicting and often even glorifying violence – especially gun violence. For proof, look no farther than the top TV dramas that anchor prime time for both the broadcast networks and basic cable channels. Video after the break.

Anti-gun movie actor Jim Carrey could have been mistaken for a member of Occupy Wall Street on Friday as he took to Twitter to give his two cents on the recent defacing of the Lincoln Memorial: "Green paint on Lincoln memorial. Ppl are getting tired of corporate tyranny disguised as democracy."

Carrey's far-left declaration should come as no surprise to those who have been paying attention to his Tweets in recent months. Earlier in 2013, he went on a pro-gun control bender:

When we last heard from actor Jim Carrey, he was calling gun rights advocates "heartless motherf--kers" and making absurd videos mocking Charlton Heston.

With his new film "Kick-Ass 2" coming to theaters in August, Carrey took to Twitter Sunday disavowing the movie writing, "I did Kickass a month b4 Sandy Hook and now in all good conscience I cannot support that level of violence":

Some people clearly just don’t know when to quit. One of them is comedic actor Jim Carrey. Believing he had tapped into the elusive humor in the debate over gun control, he concocted a scathing 5-minute sendup of people who believe in the Second Amendment — and predictably received flak. Now he is attempting to rebut his critics.

The problem with the country music video that is the centerpiece of the bit is not, as many have suggested, a quatrain in which Carrey riffs on a quote by the late actor and NRA member Charlton Heston. The lyrics, which follow (and provide the video’s title, “Cold Dead Hand”), are actually sort of clever:

CRITICAL UPDATE AT END OF ARTICLE.

As NewsBusters reported Thursday, auctions mocking actor Jim Carrey's attacks on gun owners mysteriously disappeared from eBay last week.

On Friday, eBay issued a statement via email to the Hollywood Reporter admitting that it had indeed removed these auctions and was reversing this decision:

While Jim Carrey was calling gun owners "motherf--kers," Jason Biggs spent Holy Week attacking the Pope.

The Five's Greg Gutfeld took them both on Friday marvelously saying, "Our country is great because washed up comics have the right to suck" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

After Jim Carrey published a vulgar attack on gun owners Monday, a clever eBayer put an autographed picture of the actor up for auction saying the proceeds would go to buy a gun.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the description of that auction has been changed as have similar listings at the website:

As NewsBusters reported Monday, actor Jim Carrey released a satirical video at the comedy website Funny or Die which attacked gun owners and the late Charlton Heston with penis size jokes.

Later that day, Fox News's Greg Gutfeld and his co-hosts at The Five thoroughly trashed Carrey (video follows with LexisNexis transcript and absolutely no need for additional commentary):

NewsBusters reported Sunday that actor Jim Carrey had previewed a new video he was releasing on the comedy website Funny or Die by attacking gun rights advocates on Twitter as "heartless motherf**kers."

Turns out after all the fuss, Carrey's juvenile song in the video was something you'd expect from a kindergartner.

Actor Jim Carrey attracted a lot of attention last month when he said, “[Anyone] who would run out to buy an assault rifle after the Newtown massacre has very little left in their body or soul worth protecting."

He was back at it Sunday when he promoted a new satirical song to appear at the website Funny or Die with a tweet that read, "'Cold Dead Hand' is abt u heartless motherf%ckers unwilling 2 bend 4 the safety of our kids.Sorry if you're offended":
